WALK IN-WRITTEN TEST / PERSONAL DISCUSSION

Desert Medicine Research Centre is a one of the 26 Institutes/Centres of Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), an autonomous body under Department of Health, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India, New Delhi. DMRC was established in 1984 with the mandate to

Undertake and promote research on health problems specific to desert areas.

Study the changing patterns of health problems especially in view of various developmental activities taking place in the region.

Strengthen the scientific and technical expertise of state as well as local health agencies.

Name of the Project: Screening of Tribal Population in blocks having high prevalence for Sickle Cell Anaemia (SCA) in Tribal Sub Plan Districts of Rajasthan and implementation of intervention/counselling with existing health system (Phase II). The place of posting in this project may be at Jodhpur/Banswara/Udaipur as per the need of the project.

The following posts are to be filled up on contract (purely temporary basis) for a maximum period up to May 2019.

Duration: May 2019

1) Post: Project Assistant: 01 Post (UR-1)

Age Limit: Not exceeding, 30 years.

Salary: Rs. 31,000/- per month (Consolidated).

Essential Qualifications: Graduate in Life Science from a recognized university with three years work experience from a recognized institution or Masters degree in Zoology/ Bio-Technology/ Bio-Chemistry from the recognized University.

Nature of Job: To assist in execution of research studies which will include field survey work also and any other work assigned.

Note: Experience will be considered after achieving the eligible qualification.

2) Post: Technician-III: 02 Posts (UR-1, SC-1)

Age Limit: Not exceeding, 30 years.

Salary: Rs. 18000/- per month (Consolidated)

Essential Qualification: 12th pass in science subject and two years Diploma in Medical Laboratory/Technician OR one year DMLT Plus one year experience in a recognized organization OR 2 years field/laboratory experience in Govt. recognized organization.

Note:- a. B.Sc. Degree shall be treated as 3 years experience.

b. Experience will be considered after achieving the eligible qualification.

3) Post: Health Assistant: 04 Posts (UR-3, OBC-1)

Age Limit: Not exceeding, 28 years

Salary: Rs. 17000/- per month (Consolidated).

Essential Qualifications: High School or equivalent with five years experience in research/health related field from a government institution of recognized institute or CMLT/DMLT certificate of one year training in the relevant area.

Nature of job: To assist in execution of research studies which will include field survey work also and any other work assigned.

4) Post: Multi Tasking Staff: 2 Posts (UR-1, OBC-1)

Salary: fixed emoluments @ Rs. 15800/- P.M.

Age: Below 25 years

Essential Qualifications: High school or Equivalent.

Age Relaxation: Age relaxation for SC and OBC candidates will be given against reserve posts in their respective category as per Govt. Rules in force. Age concession to the extent of service rendered in other research projects will also be admissible for experienced and skilled persons (experience certificated required for screening).

Candidates possessing the above qualifications may come for Walk-in-Interview at DMRC Campus, Jodhpur. If the number of eligible candidates are more than 30 a Walk in Personal Discussion and Written Test will be conducted. Therefore, candidates should come prepared for written test also which will be multiple choice question based (MCQ).

Those appearing for walk-in written test should bring with them (1) all Certificate/Testimonial in Original, (2) One attested copy each of the Certificates/Testimonial and should report at DMRC, Jodhpur. (3) The competent authority may increase or decrease the number of posts.

General conditions: The Appointment will be on contract basis and no other regular service benefits will be admissible. The candidate will not have any right to claim for any regular employment at DMRC/ICMR etc.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Walk-in-Written Test/Interview.
