2. No traveling expenses will be paid for the journey for appearing for the entrance test
   
   
3. Violation of any instructions and adoption of any malpractices in the examination Hallshall render in cancellation of his/her answer-script and forfeiture of his/her claim for appearing in the Entrance Test. The decision of the Chief Invigilator of the Entrance TestCentre shall be final in all these matters.
   
   
4. The candidates will not be admitted to the examination after the first 20 minutes and will not be allowed to leave the examination hall till the first half an hour is over.
   
   
5. Answers must be written in English in blue/black ink only. Pencil or Sketch pen or ink of any other colour is not allowed.

DETAILS & PROSPECTUS FOR ADMISSION TO M.Sc.(Hort.) COURSES 2016-17 OUT OF STATE QUOTA WITHOUT STIPEND

1. INTRODUCTION: The Dr.Y.S.R. Horticultural University was established during 2007 is responsiblefor education, research and extension in horticulture and allied fields in the state of Andhra Pradesh. After bifurcation of the A.P. State, a new University for the Telangna State was formed as SKLTSHU. The total no. of seats approved for the combined University Dr.YSRHU were divided in the ratio of64% (42% for AU, 22% SVU) and 36% for Telangana respectuvely duly following the provisions under the article 371D. The University imparts instructions leading to the Masterss degree courses and Ph.D courses in horticlulture at its constituent colleges at Venkataramannagudem (W.G.Dist.) and Anatharajupeta (Kadapa Dist.) in Andhra Pradesh.
   
   
2. Number of Seats:4 (without stipend) in the following departments. M.Sc.(Hort.) with specialization in Fruit Science, Vegetable Science, Floriculture and Landscape Architecture, Plantation, Spices, Medicinal & Aromatic Crops, Entomology, Plant Pathology and PostHarvest Technology.
   
   
3. (a) Qualifications for admission: Candidates seeking admission into Masters Degree course inHorticulture must have passed the relevant Bachelors Degree i.e, B.Sc. in Horticulture the candidates must have secured minimum OGPA of 5.50/10.00 from ICAR Accreditated Agri/HorticulturalUniversity.

(b) Age: The upper age limit is 40 years as on 1^sJuly of this year

4. Criteria for Selection

* M.Sc.(Horticulture): The selection shall be based on the weightage for previous academic record (B.Sc.-30%, Intermediate (10+2) 10% and S.S.C 10%) and performance in Entrance test (50%)general and OBC. Candidates with 50% or more than 50% marks in entrance test are eligible for interview/counseling for which is relaxable in case of SC/ST candidates to the extent of seats reserved for them. The entrance test shall be objective type for 200 marks, covering all relevant subjects prescribed for the concerned Bachelor degree requirements of this University.

1. Every downloaded online application should accompany DD drawn in favour of Comptroller, Dr.YSRHU, payble at Tadepalligudem for Rs.500/-and Rs.250/-(Rupees Five hundred only) for general category and SC/ ST/PHC candidates respectively towards cost of M.Sc.(Hort.) application along with two self addressed with pincode affixing postage stamps of Rs.10/-on each.
   
   
2. Applications duly filled in together with Demand Draft and all the prescribed certificates should be sent to The Registrar, Dr.Y.S.R. Horticultural University, Administrative Office, Venkataramannagudem , Near Tadepalligudem, 534101, West Godavari District on or before 11-07-2016.
   
   
3. All the eligible candidates in P.G.Entrance Test should bring their original certificates at the time of counseling.
