Rolling advertisement for JRF Position under DST-SERB Project

Applications are invited from motivated and eligible candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for the project entitled "Structural behaviour of lean duplex stainless steel tubular beams with web openings" under SERB, Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India. The project aims to develop Finite Element (FE) numerical models of stainless steel beams with web perforations to investigate effect of perforation on the structural behaviour of such beams.

Duration: Project duration is for three (03) Years

However, Initial appointment is for one year, which is extendable every year based on performance.

Eligibility: B.Tech. with GATE qualified or M.Tech in Civil Engineering (preferably Structural engineering specilization)

Age limit: Age must not be more than 28 years as on July 21, 2017 (relaxation as per the norms/ orders of GOI).

Fellowship: Rs. 25,000/- per month for the first 02 years and Rs. 28,000/- per month for the third year.

General terms and conditions: During the tenure of the project (June 2017-June 2020), the position is temporary and renewable each year subject to satisfactory performance. Candidate selected for this position can also apply for the regular Ph.D. program of NIT Meghalaya as per the eligibility criteria.

Mere possession of minimum qualification does not guarantee invitation to the interview. Original documents of age proof/ certificates/ degrees/ mark-sheets and other testimonials must be presented at the time of interview. Self-attested photocopies of these documents are to be submitted along with application form on the day of interview.
