QULIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE--
For Associate Professor -
Essential Qualification-
1) A Ph.D. in respective discipline;
2) A minimum eight years of experience in teaching or research or extension education in the position of Assistant Professor or its equivalent ; in a University or accredited grant-in-aid College, Recognized Research Institution excluding the period of Ph.D.;
3) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and course and technology mediated teaching-learning process with evidence of having guided two post graduate students worked on advisory committee of five post graduate students in the discipline where masters programme is not available.
4) Evidence of at least five published papers in recognized journals having National Academy of Agricultural Science Rating;
5) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based on Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS).
AGE LIMIT:
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR Maximum age limit for the post of Associate Professor as on last date of application i.e. 30/06/2015 shall be 33 years relax-able by 5 years for reserve category. There shall be no upper age limit for applicants working on regular establishment in Agril. Universities in Maharashtra / Other recognized Universities / Government (Central / State / Semi) / Accredited Grant-in-aid Colleges. Applicants who are already in service on regular establishment will have to submit a certificate to the effect that he/she is on regular establishment in regular pay scales along with his salary certificate. Candidates working in Grant-in-Aid Colleges will have to submit a copy of valid Accreditation Certificate of the Institute.

The Demand Draft should be drawn on State Bank of India, Branch- Dr.P.D.K.V., Akola (Branch Code No.2171) in favour of The Assistant Registrar, G.A.D., Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola, Distt.: Akola, should be enclosed with the application.
2. The application fees shall not be refunded in any case.
3. The candidate(s) shall indicate the name / post / subject on the reverse side of D.D.
HOW TO APPLY :
1. Application in the prescribed format along with the all the relevant testimonials duly filled-in, in all respect and the copies of educational qualifications, experience, date of birth, Caste Certificate (if applicable) & Caste Validity Certificate (if available) and Valid Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (Other than SC/ST), School Leaving Certificate, reprints of research publications, API Score card verified by respective IQAC of the University / Institute, Accreditation Certificate, certificate regarding in-service candidate of Central / State / Semi Government etc. attested / self-attested should reach to the Registrar, Dr.P.D.K.V., Akola on or before 30/06/2015 positively.
2. The last date for receipt of application posted from abroad and from Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshdweep, Minicoy & Aminidevi Island, States, Union Territories in the North Eastern region, Ladakh Division of Jammu & Kashmir State, Sikkim, Pangi, Sub Division of Chamba, Lahul & Spiti District of Himachal Pradesh will be 07/07/2015.

3. The candidates working on permanent establishment will have to apply through proper channel along with the forwarding letter of the competent authority on or before 07/07/2015, however the candidate should submit an advance copy of the application before the last date i.e. 30/06/2015. The necessary D.D. for application fees should be enclosed with advance copy. He/She will also have to submit No Objection Certificate at the time of interview.
The application should be in the computerized format on A-4 size paper with due indexing and paging.
4. A reserved category candidate desiring to apply under Open category shall submit separate application fulfilling all the requirements stipulated for Open category post.
5. Separate application for each post with separate fee should be submitted.
Short Listing Criteria :
1. Short listing of the candidates will be done on the basis of marks obtained by the applicant as per Column (1) & (2) of Table 6 (b) of Appendix II of Statute 52 of M.A.U. (K.Vs) First Amendment 2014 (Appendix I & II of the Advt.).
2. Mere eligibility does not vest any right to the candidate of being called for assessment of Domain Knowledge & Teaching Skills and Interview.
3. The University reserves its right to call or not to call the candidate for further evaluation.
4. The list of so short listed candidates to be called for assessment of Domain Knowledge & Teaching Skills and Interview will be displayed on the University website.
5. Maximum Five candidates per post in order of merit shall be called for assessment of Domain Knowledge & Teaching Skills and Interview. Last candidate in order of merit and the candidate(s) seeking equal marks to him shall be called for assessment of Domain Knowledge & Teaching Skills and Interview even if the number of candidates to be called exceeds the limit of five candidates per post.
General Conditions and Instructions

The evaluation criteria for the post of Associate Professor shall be as per Column (1) & (2) of Table 6 (b) of Appendix II of Statute 52 of M.A.U. (K.Vs) First Amendment 2014. |

The candidate should be (i) citizen of India or (ii) a subject of a Sikkim or (iii) subject of a Nepal or (iv) a subject of Bhutan or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma (Myanmar), Ceylon (Sri Lanka), East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda and United Republic of Tanzania, with the intension to settle permanently in India or (vi) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intension to settle permanently in India. Provided a person belonging to any of the categories (iii, iv, v & vi) of the above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been given by a State Government and further if he belongs to category (v) of the above condition, the certificate of eligibility shall be valid only for a period of one year from the date of appointment beyond which he can be retained in service only if, he has became a Citizen of India. |

The candidates if appointed will have to acquire requisite knowledge of computer application and to produce certificate as required under government resolution dated 19th March, 2003 within a period of two years. |
5. |
The category of the candidates belonging to reserved categories should be as notified by the Government of Maharashtra from time-to-time. |
6. |
The candidate(s) belonging to the reserved categories should produce caste certificate & caste validity certificate issued by the competent authority in prescribed format. The selected candidate from the reserved category will have to produce the caste validity certificate within the period of six months from the date of joining, if the same it not available with the candidate at the time of applying for the post. |
7. |
Candidates applying for the posts under reserved category except SC/ST should submit Non-Creamy Layer Certificate issued by the competent authority valid on the last date of submission of application. |
8. |
The candidate should submit score card of Academic Performance Indicator of Category-I & II for a period from academic year 2010-11 to 2014-15 on annual basis i.e. (four completed years) and for Category III, of entire career duly attested by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the University. The documents related to Category III of the Academic Performance Indicator for entire career should be attached with the application form. If score card is not attested by IQAC of the parent University / Institute, the applicant may submit all papers of Category I & II of API for period from Academic Year 2010-11 to 2014-15 on Annual basis and Category III of API for entire career with application form, giving Index and Page No. of documents for consideration of Scrutiny Committee. The score card such prepared by the Scrutiny Committee shall be final. Any complaints in this regard shall not be entertained by this University. The details regarding Academic Performance Indicators (API) based on Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) will be as per the Maharashtra Agril. Universities Statute 2014 (First Amendment) which is available on University web site. |

The selected candidate will have to complete the probation period of two years satisfactorily failing which appropriated action will be initiated as per the provision of the concerned rules. |

As per Government Notification dated 28-03-2005, applicant is required to execute an undertaking that he/she does not have more than two living children after 28th March, 2006 in the Form A, even if he/she is unmarried. |

Incomplete application/s in any form or application/s without signature and the application/s received after due date will not be considered. The University shall not be responsible for any postal delay. No documents shall be accepted after receipt of application. |

The candidates should possess the minimum required educational qualifications, age and experience as on the last date of application i.e. 30/06/2015. |

University reserves all rights to fill or not to fill-in of the vacancies advertised. So also University reserves its right to give or not to give an appointment to the candidates though recommended by the Selection Board. |

The persons working outside this University will have to produce No Objection Certificate from their present employer at the time of interview, even though the application is received through proper channel. |

The candidate should be himself / herself confirm his / her eligibility for the post applied for, before submission of application. No correspondence, whatsoever, in this regard shall be made / entertained. |

As per the Govt. Circular dated 03/07/2004, the experience of clock hour basis, periodical/part time, on stipend, visiting Professor/contributory Lecturer, service without pay and worked as I/c Officer and holding additional charge will not be considered. |

In case of variation or change in name of the applicant, the concerned will have to submit Self Affidavit or Govt. Gazette respectively to that effect with the application form. |

The University has not notified the posts sanctioned under the ICAR Schemes under Plan which are most likely to be continued. However in case of termination of the Project by ICAR or change in sanctioned positions the services of the candidate in the respective discipline / subject who is junior most may be terminated. |
