RECRUITMENT NOTICE FOR THE POSITION OF RESEARCH ASSOCIATE (RA-I)

Applications are invited for the one position of Research Associate (RA-I) in Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) funded research project entitled Biochemical and molecular analysis on the role of nutrient management on arsenic (As) stress mitigation and tolerance in North East Indian rice (Oryza sativa L.) cultivars vide sanction order no. 38(1430)/17/EMR-II dated 25/05/2017 for a period of three (03) years. The post is purely temporary and coterminous with the project. The eligibility criteria other relevance details are given below:
Eligibility criteria: Candidates should hold a Ph.D. degree in Life Science / Botany / Plant Molecular Biology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Biophysics / Agriculture or equivalent degree or three (03) years of research experience after M.Phil. / M. Tech or equivalent in Life Science / Biotechnology / Biosciences & Bioengineering or allied disciplines. Candidates having sound knowledge and experience in the thrust area of the project will be given preference.
Emoluments: Stipend @ Rs. 36,000.00/- p.m. + 10% HRA
Date and Venue of Interview: 31.07.2017 (Room No. CIL 101, Central Instrumentation Laboratory, Assam University, Silchar 788 011)
Please note that no TA / DA will be paid for attending the interview.
Candidates must submit one self-attested copy of testimonials, first page of the published paper / article / book review, etc. at the time of interview. Original certificates documents and all other relevant documents should be brought for verification at the time of interview. The appointment of RA I for the said project and terms and conditions will be guided as per Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi, India.
