Walk-in Interview will be conducted for following assignment in a time bound research project undertaken at the Centre of Excellence (CoE) on Public Health Nutrition in the Dept. of Humanities and Social Sciences, NIT Rourkela on 22nd February 2019 and Time 9:30 A.M.

4 Years

5.

Tenure of the Assignment:

04 years (based on the performance) OR completion of the project, whichever is earlier.

(Candidate may enrol as a PhD scholar in the areas of Public Health Nutrition)

Job Description:

  1. a. Design assessments/ develop documentation plan as advised by UNICEF, State Food Commission and Govt of Odisha.
  2. b. Support in development of questionnaires and tools for social/community level audit food/nutrition programmes.
  3. c. Data analysis and report writing.
  4. d. Attend the State and District level review meetings and share the field findings for taking corrective actions.
  5. e. Support in taking minutes/proceedings of all the meetings at the CoE and at Odisha State Food Commission.
  6. f. Conduct data validation on a sample basis.
  7. g. Good understanding of various data sources like Census, NSSO, NFHS, DLHS, DISE etc.
  8. h. Good English writing and presentation skills.
  9. i. Preparing policy oriented manuscripts for publication
  10. j. Understanding of issues related to MDGs and SDGs
  11. k. Provide regular feedback of activities to the project-coordinator/Programme Manager.

Consolidated monthly Salary/ Fellowship:

Rs. 75,000/- per month

Essential Qualifications and experience:

M.A/M. Phil/ Ph.D in Public Health/ Nutrition/ Economics/Sociology/Population Studies/Anthropology/ or related subjects.

9.

Desirable Qualifications/ Experiences :

  • Research experience in the areas of Public Health Nutrition

  • Should have better understanding on nutrition related SDGs

  • Should have good publication records

  • Should possess good writing and presentation skills.
