Walk-in Interview will be conducted for following assignment in a time bound research project undertaken at the Centre of Excellence (CoE) on Public Health Nutrition in the Dept. of Humanities and Social Sciences, NIT Rourkela on 22nd February 2019 and Time 9:30 A.M.

4 Years

5.

Tenure of the Assignment:

04 years (based on the performance) OR completion of the project, whichever is earlier.

(Candidate may enrol as a PhD scholar in the areas of Public Health Nutrition)

Job Description:

  1. a. Undertake at least 10 days field visits for data collection, conducting programme monitoring at FPS, AWC, SC, sector, block and district level.
  2. b. Compilation, management and presentation of the information.
  3. c. Maintain CoE as a resource center for the collaborating agencies and NGOs.
  4. d. Attend all meetings and workshops.
  5. e. Assist in administrative duties as assigned by the supervisor/Programme Manager.
  6. f. Good understanding of various data sources like Census, NSSO, NFHS, DLHS, DISE etc.
  7. g. Good English writing and presentation skills.
  8. h. Preparing policy oriented manuscripts for publication
  9. i. Understanding of issues related to MDGs and SDGs
  10. j. Provide regular feedback of activities to the project-coordinator/ Programme Manager.

Consolidated monthly Salary/ Fellowship:

Rs. 40,000/- per month

Essential Qualifications and experience:

M.A/M. Phil in Public Health/ Nutrition/ Economics/Sociology/Population Studies/Anthropology/ or related subjects.

Desirable Qualifications/ Experiences :

  • Work experience in the areas of Public Health Nutrition

  • Should have better understanding on nutrition related SDGs

  • Should possess good writing and presentation skills.
