Advertisement for SRF in the Department of Remote Sensing
Walk in interview for one (1) post of Senior Research Fellow (S.R.F) for a period from July, 2018 to 30th June, 2019 (One year) under SAC, ISRO, Government of India sponsored project. This is extendable for one more year based on satisfactory performance and availability of project grant. This position shall be co-terminus with the project.
Fellowship: Rs. 25000/- + 15% HRA per month
Essential Qualification:
M. Tech (Remote Sensing) / M.Sc. (Geoinformatics) with I class (preference will be given to candidates of Geology/Geophysics/Earth science or allied background)
Desirable: Must have experience on RS/GIS tools and Software
Interested candidates are requested to appear for Walk in interview on July 6, 2018 at 9.30 am in the Department of Remote Sensing, Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi, along with their original Certificate and curriculum- vitae (one set of photocopies also) mentioning educational qualification percentage of marks & year of passing from matriculation onwards.
Project details:
"Geophysical characterization of subsurface Calcrete deposits in semi arid - arid region of Rajasthan using fully polarimetric L- and S- band SAR data" under the supervision of Dr. V.S. Rathore, Department of Remote Sensing (PI), Dr. A.P. Krishna, Department of Remote Sensing (Co-PI) and Dr. Gulab Singh (IITB) (Co-PI). The project has mandate to process and interpret fully polarized microwave data, collect filed samples and Geo-chemically analysed to them. The project will be executed at the Department of Remote Sensing, BIT Mesra, Ranchi.
