Research Fellow Positions (Two): Cardiac-Organ-on-Chip Integrated Microfluidic Cardiac Platform for Drug Screening and Toxicity Detection

Applications are invited for two positions of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a DST- Biomedical Device and Technology Development (BDTD) funded project entitled Cardiac-Organ-on-Chip: Integrated Microfluidic Cardiac Platform for Drug Screening and Toxicity Detection, under the supervision of Prof. Sanket Goel (PI), Dr. Satish Kumar Dubey (Co-PI), Dr. Arshad Javed (Co-PI) and Dr. Anasuya Ganguly (Co-PI).

Deserving JRF may be considered for Ph.D. program at BITS-Pilani if he/she meets the requirements of Ph.D. qualification process as per the institute norms ( http://www.bitsadmission.com/phmain.aspx ).

Eligibility:

Essential Qualification

o For 1st JRF: M.E./M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering/Electrical & Electronics Engineering/or equivalent. Experience in the area of MEMS/Microfluidics is highly desirable.

o For 2nd JRF: M.E./M.Tech. in Bio-Engineering/Bio-Technology/Biomedical Engineering/ Bio-Sciences/or equivalent. Experience in the area of Cell/Tissue culture is highly desirable.

Candidates with publication(s) will be with priority

Candidates with UGC NET JRF, DST-Inspire, GATE etc. will be given preference.

Fellowship: As per DST Norms ( 31,000 per month for first two years and 35,000 per month for third year)

Duration: Three years

Place of work: BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus
