Applications are invited for the post (l No.) of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on DST-SERB Extra Mural Research funded project (EMR/2016/003320).

Title of the Project : Nanoparticles of different shapes conjugated with drugs to achieve enhanced therapeutic efficacy in treatment of cancer

Duration of the project : 3 years

Emolumenst : Rs. 25, 000 p.m. for first two years and Rs. 28, 000 p.m. for third year as sanctioned by DST.

Essential Qualification : M.E/M.Tech or B.E/B.Tech in Biotechnology/Biochemical Engineering/ Bio-process engineering/ Nanotechnology/Chemical Engineering/ Chemical Technology. Preference may be given to the candidate having qualified GATE score (M.E/M.Tech Candidates appearing for the last semester can also apply).

• The selected candidate will have to register for Ph.D. program at VNIT as per institute norms.

  Duties:

  • Conduct research and perform various biochemical assays for nanopartic le-based delivery of drugs to cancer cell lines.

  • Collaborate with scientists and technical persQjlllel of Central India Institute of Medical Sciences, Nagpur and participate in collaborative efforts of other laboratoriesand institutes.
    

  • Design experiments, execute and analyze results. Write scientific reports; publish results in peer-revie wed scientific journals, national and/or internationalconferences.

Note: The post is purely temporary in nature and initial appointment will be for one year, extendable for next 2 years based on performance.
