WALK-IN-INTERVIEW

Walk-in-interview for the post of Junior Research Fellow under DST-SERB funded Research Project entitled Mapping and marker assisted breeding for Alternaria leaf spot resistance in Indian cauliflower and one SRF in DUS Testing of varieties under registration and maintenance of reference varieties of Chilli & Sweet Pepper purely on contractual/ temporary basis will be held on 15.02.2019 in the Division of Vegetable Science, ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. The eligible candidates should bring their applications giving full details of academic records and experience along with attested photocopy as well as original copy of the relevant documents.

Edn./6 127 12014/HRD Dated 09. 10.2015) Desirable: Experience in working with handling of molecular biology tools and plant screening with fungal pathogens.
PPV&FRA funded project entitled DUS Testing of varieties under registration and maintenance of reference varieties of Chilli & Sweet Pepper	Senior Research Fellow (25,000 + HRA(as admissible)	1 (one)	Essential: Master degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Vegetable Science/ Plant Biotechnology/ Plant Breeding and Genetics/ Life Sciences with specialization in Plant Breeding or Vegetable Science or Vegetable Breeding or Plant Biotechnology/ Plant breeding and /or Genetics/ with 4 years/5 years of Bachelors

degree. Or Candidate having post graduate degree in Basic Science with 3 years Bachelors degree and 2 years Masters degree should have qualified NET as per ICAR No. Edn/6/27/2014/HRD dated 13th July, 2015 and Agrl. Edn./6/27/2014-HRD dated October 9, 2015. Desirable: Experience: Working experience on breeding in vegetable crops, field care and proficiency in computer skills

Terms and Conditions:

1. Age limit: Maximum age is 35 years for SRF (age relaxation of five years for SC/ST & women and three years for OBC as per rules).

2. For details of the qualifications and other requirements please refer DST SR/S9/Z-09/2012 dated 21.11.2014 and ICAR Office Memo No. Edn/6/27/2014/HRD dated 13.6.2015 and Agrl. Edn./6/27/2014-HRD dated 9.11.2015. The emolument of JRFs and PAs will be as per DBT rule.

3. The above post is purely temporary, time bound and co-terminus with the project. Appointment will be yearly based on the progress and fund availability.

4. The selected candidates shall not claim for regular appointments at the Institute as the position is co-terminus with the project.

5. The Interview of eligible candidates will be held according to schedule given above.

6. The candidates will have to compulsorily bring the filled in application form (as per the format annexed), all the original certificates from matriculation onwards, date of birth certificate, NET/equivalent certificate, degree certificate either original or provisional and one set of the self-attested photocopies of all the required certificates from matriculation onwards and an attested copy of recent passport size photograph pasted onto the application form. Proof of experience and publications also need to be submitted.

7. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

8. Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be interviewed.

9. Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification or termination of such candidates.

10. The candidates are required to submit the application at the time of interview as per the format annexed along with the declaration.

11. The candidate intending to attend the interview, if any of his/her near or distant relative is an employee of the ICAR/IARI, have to declare his/her name, designation, nature of duties, relationship in advance in writing so as to reach the Head Division of Vegetable Science, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi ( head_veg@iari.res.in ) by 14th February, 2019. If on the date of interview such declaration is furnished and found that his relative is an employee of ICAR/IARI, such candidates will not be allowed for interview.

12. All the other candidates are also required to compulsorily to furnish the declaration duly signed and submitted on the date of interview.

13. The candidates have to strictly submit the form annexed (typed/ filled) duly signed and submit on the date of interview.
