WALK IN INTERVIEW

Walk-in-interview will be held for the following contractual positions in the conference room of the Division of the Agricultural Engineering, IARI, New Delhi-110012 on 19^h Feb. 2019 at 10:00 am for Sr. Nos 1 &2 and at 2:00 pm forSr. No. 3 (Table below). These positions are in support of the International Research Project Off-grid, clean energy cooling for affordable storage of perishables for BOP farmers funded by The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NAS), Washington, DC under PEER (Partnership for Enhanced Engagement in Research) cycle 7 competitive grant. Eligible candidates should bring their application giving full details of academic records and experience in the form of originals and one attested photocopy of all relevant documents.

1	Senior Research Fellow (SRF) -(SRFstructure position)	2 years	Essential qualification: Masters degree in Agricultural Engineering/ Agricultural Processing and Structures/ Post Harvest Engineering with 4/5 years bachelors degree or integrated (B. Tech. + M. Tech. 5 years) in relevant subject. Those with 3 years bachelors degree must have UGC-NET/CSIR-NET/ MHRD-GATE qualification or equivalent. -orPh.D. in any of the above disciplines. Kindly see ICAR memorandum for details of minimum qualification: F.No. Edn./6/27/2014/HRD dated 1307-15. Desirable qualifications: Working experience in designing on-farm storage structures, survey of villages, computer skills and experience in working with ICAR institutions in similar domain.	Frequent travel to villages in Delhi, Haryana and Rajasthan; assistance in the initial survey of villages; monitoring and assembling of solar refrigerated evaporatively cooled (SREC) chambers; managing data collection from site, keeping track of SREC chamber function and performance and performing assessment of produce quality. He/she will also be a conduit for interaction with the farmer community of the selected villages.	Rs.25,000/+ 30% HRA per month Fixed as per the approved research project

2.	Senior Research Fellows (SRF) -**(SRFelectrical position)**	2 year	Essential qualification: Masters degree in Electrical Engineering/ Electronics Engineering/ Machine Drives and Power electronics/ Computer applications and IT/ Energy Science and Technology/ Renewable energy with 4/5 years bachelors degree or integrated (B. Tech. + M. Tech. 5 years) in relevant subject. Those with 3 years bachelors degree must have UGC-NET/CSIR-NET/ MHRD-GATE qualification or equivalent. -orPh.D. in any of the above disciplines. Desirable qualifications: Working experience in installation and operation of solar panels, inverters and refrigeration system; design inverters and refrigeration systems to suit specific purposes and expertise in computer skills.	Assessing the performance of the electrical control panels, solar panels, inverters and the refrigeration systems; assistance in material procurement and record keeping; Evaluating and processing of data evaluation and data quality assurance; frequent travel to villages in Delhi, Haryana and Rajasthan; assistance in the initial survey of villages; monitoring and assembling of solar refrigerated evaporatively cooled (SREC) chambers. 3.	Field Staff (one position)	02 years	Essential qualifications: Must know how to read and write; Experience (minimum two years) with the following: (i) construction of reinforced concrete structures (ii) metal and plastic plumbing (iii) metal working (welding, cutting, shaping, fabrication) (iv) electrical wiring installation (v) management of work teams (vi) maintenance of records for labor and material expenses (vii) working in a research	Assistance in construction and management of construction activities of SREC chambers in the three selected villages in Delhi, Haryana and Rajasthan regions; material procurement, maintenance of records and	Rs. 15000/per month
