NOTIFICATION FOR ENGAGEMENT OF APPRENTICES UNDER APPRENTICES ACT, 1961

NHPC Limited, a Mini Ratna Category-I Public Sector Undertaking invites application from eligible candidates for undergoing 01 year of Apprenticeship Training at Teesta-V Power Station, Balutar, East Sikkim under Apprentices Act, 1961 and as amended from time-to-time in the trades as mentioned below:

The decision of the management shall be final and no appeal will be entertained.

1) Age: Minimum age limit is 18 years and maximum 30 years as on 31.10.2018.

2) Educational Qualification: As per the above table.

3) Training Duration: 01 year or as approved by respective RDAT.

4) Stipend: In case of Trade Apprentice: Rs. 7680/- p.m. subject to revision of minimum wage vide Govt. notification from time-to-time and subject to approval of respective RDAT and as per amendment from time-to-time in the Act.

5) Reservation: Reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC (Non Creamy layer) as per the provisions of Apprentices Act, 1961 and Rules framed thereunder and as amended from time-to-time.

6) Preference will be given to candidates

(i)Project Affected Families of Teesta-V Power Station -1st

(ii) Project Affected Areas of Teesta-V Power Station-2nd

(iii) Resident of Sikkim-3rd

7) The above vacancy may increase or decrease as per the requirement of the Power Station.

8) Candidates whose results are awaited need not to apply.

9) Candidates having job experience for a period of one year or more will not be eligible.

10) Candidates should not have undergone Apprenticeship Training earlier or pursuing Apprenticeship Training under the Apprentices Act, 1961 in any organisation.

11) Employment in NHPC: Candidates shall have no claim whatsoever for any extension of training and/or employment in NHPC Limited.

12) How to apply: The candidates fulfilling the above eligibility criteria should apply as follows:

(i) ITI Pass candidates (NCVT) should register themselves on Apprenticeship portal at www.apprenticeship.gov.in and subsequently apply against Teesta-V Power Station through this web portal online ONLY.

(ii) The candidate should have a Valid a mobile number, E-mail ID, Active savings bank account linked with Aadhar number.

(iii) Application received in any other form/format other than the web portal shall not be entertained.

Note:

Candidates must upload their following self attested documents in the portal:

(i) ITI Marks sheets of all semesters as issued by the Institute, Marks sheet of 8th/10th/12th class pass as minimum qualification (in case of Trade Apprentice) (Internet copy not allowed), Format: PDF, Size less than 1MB.

(ii) Certificate of proof of age Format: PDF, Size: less than 1 MB.

(iii) Aadhaar Card Format: PDF, Size: less than 1 MB.

(iv) Passport size colour photo: JPEG, size: less than 200KB (4.5 X 3.5).

(v) Proof of your Savings Bank Account No. linked with Aadhar No, IFSC code, Branch Name, address and Branch Code.

(vi) Valid personal Email ID.

(vii) Valid Mobile number.

All the above candidates are required to mention their Valid Aadhar Card No. on website while filling their applications.

Last date for submission of application- 05.12. 2018 till 5pm.

Selection Criteria: Eligible candidates as per requirement will be shortlisted on the basis of merit list which will be prepared based on marks secured as per the following details:

(i) There will be no interviews and the shortlisted candidates will be informed through the web portal www.apprenticeship.gov.in

(ii) The candidates shortlisted shall have to produce original documents at the time of verification which will be communicated on the registered email ID of the applicant:

(iii) The selected candidate will have to submit Medical Fitness Certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner (RMP)(Govt. Establishment), Character Certificate duly attested by a Gazetted officer at the time of joining and documents certifying member of Project Affected Family/ Area and domicile certificate in case of resident of Sikkim.

(iv) The selection and deployment of Apprentices shall be subject to detailed provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961.

General Instructions:

1. Meeting the minimum eligibility criteria will not entitle any candidate for being selected for Apprenticeship Training.

2. Management may raise the minimum eligibility or any other conditions to restrict the number of Candidates to be selected for Apprenticeship Training.

3. Furnishing of wrong/false information will be a disqualification and Teesta-V Power station will not be responsible for disqualification as a consequence of furnishing of such wrong/false information.

4. The decision of Management will be final and binding on all candidates on all matters related to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of the applications, mode of selection, and selection process either in part or full, etc. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard.

5. The Company shall have no obligation to give employment to Apprentices. The Apprentices shall have no right to claim employment from the Company on the basis of this Apprenticeship Training at any point of time.

6. Teesta-V Power Station reserves the right to cancel the Advertisement and/or the selection process there under without assigning any reason.

7. NHPC Limited, Teesta-V Power Station may also include few additional seats for Apprenticeship Training arising in future (in the month of January-February, 2019) and select eligible candidates from the same merit as derived from this advertisement.
