Dr. Y.S.R Horticultural University invites applications from Diploma in Horticulture

candidates for admission into four years B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture Degree programme

through HORTICET-2017 for the academic year 2017-18.

1. ELIGIBILITY : A pass in Diploma in Horticulture course from Dr. YSRHU. (Those who are going to complete the Diploma requirements in 2016-17 academic year can also apply, but submission of Final Memorandum of Marks-cum-Pass Certificate of Diploma in Horticulture is must at the time of Admission counselling).
   
   
2. AGE : The candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31^st December of the year of admission with an upper age limit of 22 years for all candidates and 25 years in respect of S.C. & S.T. candidates and 27 years in respect of Physically Challenged (Disabled persons) candidates.
   
   
3. SEATS : Total No. of seats allotted to diploma holders is 15% of seats of B.Sc (Hons.) Horticulture : i.e., 47 seats
   
   
1. RESERVATION : 1) As per rules of Government of Andhra Pradesh.
   
   
2. 2) The above seats will be allocated in the ratio of 85% for local candidates and remaining 15% seats will be treated as unreserved quota.
4. MEDIUM OF : The question paper contains questions in Telugu Medium ENTRANCE TEST
   
   
5. SYLLABUS : The Syllabus prescribed by Dr.YSRHU to Diploma in Horticulture Course.
   
   
6. DURATION & MARKS Entrance test is for 2.00 hours duration and the question paper (Multiple choice objective type questions) consists of 200 multiple choice bits.
   
   
7. LAST DATE FOR : a) Interested candidates may apply for admission in the prescribed SUBMISSION OF proforma (enclosed) along with a Demand Draft of Rs.600/-(Rupees Six HORTICET-2017 hundred only) for General/BC candidates and for Rs.300/-(Rupees Three APPLICATION hundred only) in case of SC/ST/Physically Disabled persons drawn in
   
   

favour of the COMPTROLLER, Dr. Y.S.R HORTICULTURAL UNIVERSITY, payable at TADEPALLIGUDEM on any Nationalized Bank (Original DD should be attached with the application form).

b) Along with application form 2 self addressed envelopes affixed with Rs. 5/-postal stamp should be send.

c) Application form duly filled should reach The Registrar, Dr.Y.S.R Horticultural University, Venkataramannagudem-534101, W.G.Dt., Andhra Pradesh on or before 28-06-2017 by 4.00 PM either in person or by post. Applications received after the last date will not be entertained and Dr. YSRHU is not responsible for any postal delay.

1. ISSUE OF HALL TICKETS The list of eligible candidates along with the Hall Ticket numbers will be displayed in the University website i.e., www.drysrhu.edu.in. Those candidates who have not received the Hall tickets can however download the Hall Ticket from the University website and attend the HORTICET test.
   
   
1. QUALIFYING MARKS FOR : The qualifying percentage of marks for the HORTICET-2017 is 25% of
   
   
2. HORTICET-2017 the aggregate marks for General/BC categories and in the case of SC/ST candidates there shall be no minimum qualifying marks for ranking the candidates in HORTICET being conducted by the Dr. YSRHU.
1. HORTICET-2017RESULTS : The merit list of the candidates will be displayed in the University website. For the preparation of merit list in case of more than one student securing the same marks, the tie shall be resolved by considering the following:
   
   
1. The percentage of aggregate marks secured in the qualifying examination i.e., OGPA in Diploma in Horticulture course.
   
   
2. If the tie still persists the date of birth of the concerned candidates shall be considered and elder one shall be given preference.

4. Certificates issued by the concerned authorities of State in the case of Special categories like Physically Disabled persons, NCC,SPORTS and CAP
   
   
5. Two Self addressed stamped envelopes (Rs.5/-postal stamp) (For sending the hall ticket).
   
   
6. Three passport size photographs (pasted on the application form and Hall ticket).
