B. MINIMUMMEDICALREQUIREMENT:.
(i) Eyesightshouldnot be less than 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in the other,i.e.,6/6 for the Right eye in Right handed individuals and 6/6 for the Left eye in [,eft handed
individuals,without glasses. [ii) Should be free from colourblindness.
(iii) Shouldnot have Knock Knees, Flat lroot, VaricoseVeins or Squint Eyesor any other Physicaldeformities. [iv) Any debilitating diseasewhich in the opinionof the doctor is likely to impede the
candidates'functioningin theCivilDefenceandHomeGuardsDepartment. [v) Any other defects.

After the Physical MeasurementTest,the candidate will be required to registerthemselvesat the
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) registration counters at the venue of recruitment,where the biometricdata such as Candidates' FingerPrint in respect of each candidate will be captured by the Bio-metric application software.The candidate'sbio-metricprofile will be verified anll only the candidatessuccessfullyverifiedwill be allowedfor Physical EfficiencyTestfRace).
5 XTTIRECE POR MRLE AND 3 KM FORFEMALECANDIDATEANDTIMINGEQUIPMENT: Each candidate will beissuedwith a Lockable RadioFrequency Identification (RFID)tag,which will be attachedto the candidate duringthe course of the Physical efficiency test.The automatic timing equipment based on RFID technology will begearedto recordstarttime,finishtime and net time of all runners individually.Thosewho do not finish the racewithin the minimum prescribedtime will not be allowed to participate in other subsequentrecruitment events.5 KM race for male candidateswill have to be completedwithin 24 Minutesand3 KM race for Female candidateswill haveto be completed within L9 minutes. Candidateswho are not physicalllz fit should not attempt this race. Candidates are advisedto consult a medical doctor about their physicalstate of health before preparingthemselvesto
participatein the running test. The CentralRecruitmentBoardwill not be responsiblefor any injury sustained by a candidate during the 5 KM or the 3 KM race.
CONDUCTOFWRITTEN E)GMINATION:
Onlythose candidates who qualifyin the PhysicalEfficiency Test will be allowed to appear in the written examination, which will be conducted at the time, venue and date to be notified by the RecruitmentBoard. only,comprisingof elementaryandbasicknowledgeof English,BasicArithmeticandbasicGeneral Awareness.This paperwill be on multiple choice/OMR Basisandwill carry a maximumof 200 marks. There shall be no written test for Non Combatant Employee[NCE].For NCE a TradeTest
cumInterviewof 50 markswill be conducted.
PERSONALINTERVIEW:
[a) For vacancies in the postsof (i) Sub-lnspectorand equivalent ranks, (ii] Guardsmanand equivalentranksand [iii) Driver,2 (two) times the number of vacancieswill be called for the
Personal Interview from amongstthe candidates who qualifiedin the PhysicalEfficiencyTest and based on the total marks scored in the PhysicalEfficiencyTestandWritten Test [b) In the case of Non Combatant Employee,2(two) times the numberof vacanciesfrom amongst the candidates who qualifies in the PhysicalEfficiencyTest will be called for the Trade Test cum Interview. [c) For recruitment to the post of Draftsman and Compounder/Dresser,there will be no
physical Efficiency Test and Written Examination. Selectionwill be based solely on

14. MEDICALEXAMINATION
a. MedicalExamination will be conducted only in respect of all candidates who have qualifiedin thewritten tests.
, Nopersonshall be appointed from the merit list unless he/she is found physicallyfit andthe Medicaldoctor certifies that the candidate is ftee from any debilitating disease which accordingto the opinion of the doctoris likely to impede the candidates functioning in the Civil Defence andHomeGuardsDepartment.
c. Recruitmentprocessfor Physical MeasurementTestand Physical Efficiency Testshalltake placeat Central Training Institute, Mawdiangdiang Shillong and Civil Defence and Home GuardsComplexatTura for which candidates will have to indicate their choice at the time of applying.Written test venue will be intimated later. Personal iriterview shall be conducted in Shillong only and the date will beintimatedlater.
15, ADMIT CARDS: -TheAdmit card will be issued in respect of the applicationswhich fulfill all the requirements as enumeratedin theApplication Form and shall contain information details. The date for issuance of Admit Cards will beintimatedon the office notice boards and the Departmental website and an Acknowledgement Receipt will be given to the candidatesat the time of submission of the application form. The RecruitmentBoard will send the Admit Card to each candidate.
