Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Senior Research Fellow(SRF) Position in Sponsored Research Project

Applications are invited for the one position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and one position of Senior Research Fellow(SRF) to work in the DWDSC, Govt. of Rajasthan sponsored research project entitled "Development of Experimental Watershed and Hydrological Modelling for Improvements in Performance of Watershed Intervention Works" at Department of Civil Engineering, MNIT Jaipur, Rajasthan. The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with project. Position is initially available for one year, which may be extendable based on the candidate's performance on yearly basis.

Position: Two: One JRF and One SRF

Name of the positions: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Senior Research Fellow(SRF).

Qualification:

• The applicant must have a First division (60% or equivalent CGPA) in B.Tech. (Civil /Agriculture Engineering/Computer Sc. & Engineering / IT) and Master's degree in the relevant branch of Engineering/Technology (Civil Engineering/ DAM/ Water Recourses Engineering/ Remote sensing/Agriculture/Hydrology/Watershed management) or equivalent with CGPA not below 6.5 on a 10-point scale or 60% marks (where CGPA is not awarded). Freashers and highly motivated, research oriented candidates are encouaregd to apply.
  
  
• Relevant field experience in hydro-meteorological measurements, hydrological data analysis and strong back ground in the area of hydrological modelling, water resources, remote sensing/GIS, watershed development and management are encouraged to apply.
  
  
• Research experience in the relevant area, supported by publications in high impact peer reviewed international journals would be a plus.
  
  
• Very good English language (written and oral) and presentation skills.
  
  

Fellowship: As per DST rules. (INR 25,000/- pm (consolidated) + HRA)

Duration: One year (May be extendable based on yearly performance)

Candidates may please note the following:

1. MNIT Jaipur reserves all the rights to fix suitable criteria for shortlisting the eligible candidates.

2. The project team will have the right to put any screening criteria in case large numbers of applications are received.

The selected candidates can opt for Ph.D. program (Civil Engineering) announced by MNIT in case they are interested in pursuing Ph.D. at MNIT Jaipur as per provision in the above research area after fulfilling the required criteria as per institute rules. Preference will be given to the candidates opting for the PhD.
