Applications are invited from Indian Nationals (only) for Project Positions as per the details given below, for research project, under the principal investigator Dr. Deendayal, Asst.Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli-15, Tamil Nadu.

1. Title of the Project: Development of 1-g laboratory model to study the behaviour of laterally loaded single and group of piles located in sloping ground

4. Qualifications: B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering & M.E. / M.Tech. in Geotechnical Engineering. Selected candidate may have a chance to register for his Ph.D. at NIT Tiruchirappalli.

   
   

5. Emoluments: 25,000/- p.m. (Fixed)

6. Duration: 1 Year (Extended to 3 years based on performance)

7. Job Description:

   1. Procurement of equipments and fabrication/development of experimental set-up to meet the objectives of the project.

   2. Conducting laboratory tests to find basic properties of soil.

   3. Carrying out some static and dynamic/cyclic lateral load tests on instrumented model piles.

   4. Validation of experimental results with FEM analysis (Plaxis 3D/ FLAC 3D/LPILE etc.)

The position is purely temporary and ends along with the project (3 years). It doesnt confirm any permanent position at NIT Trichy.
