ADVERTISEMENT Applications are invited from eligible candidates for position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) post for DSTSYST sponsored research project titled Development and Validation of an Affordable Handheld Device for diagnosing compressive neuropathy by two point discrimination test in diabetic subject (Ref No: SP/YO/393/2018) in the Department of Instrumentation and Control Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli.

Temporary Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Number of post: One
Essential qualification: M.E/ M.Tech in Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, Medical
Electronics, Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering,
Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Embedded system with
minimum of 60% marks from recognized University/ Institute and
relevant research/ teaching experience as evidence from published
papers in standard refereed journals
(OR) B.Tech in Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Biomedical
Engineering, Bioengineering with GATE qualification and relevant
research/teaching experience as evidence from published papers in
standard refereed journals
Salary (Consolidate): Rs. 25,000 per month + 20% HRA for first 2 years; and
Rs. 28,000 per month + 20% HRA from 3rd year of the project
Duration of Project: 3 Years
Tenure of Assignment: 1 year, extendable further two more years till the completion of project
Job Description: 1. Purchase of equipment and components for the project
2. Fabrication of sensory device by implementation of force concept
3. Testing and validate the performance of device with Std device
Additional Information: Selected candidates will be encouraged to register Ph.D programme
as per NIT Tiruchirappalli regulations.
