ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE POST OF ADVISOR (QUALITY ASSURANCE & INSPECTION)

IPA-Profile

Indian Ports Association (IPA) was constituted in 1966 under Societies Registration Act, primarily with the idea of fostering growth and development of all Major Ports, which are under the supervisory control of Ministry of Shipping .Over the years, IPA has consolidated its activities and grown strength and considered to be a think tank for the Major Ports with the ultimate goal of integrating the Maritime Sector. Following is the eligibility criteria for the post of Advisor (Quality Assurance & Inspection).

6	Qualification	The applicant should be an Engineering Graduate with Mechanical Engineering stream with good academic record from a recognized university /Institute
7	Experience	Officer eligible to be appointed at the rank of Director in Government of India or Equivalent level. The applicant should possess five years technical /procurement and inspection experience at senior level (in grade PB-4 of 37400-67000 with Grade Pay 10000/- in pre revised scale) out of which at least two years during five years should have been in Inspection Services and framing of specification/ functionality of product/ services. Experience of inspection in Inspection Services and framing of specification / functionality of product /services would have added advantages.)
8	Eligible Scale of Pay	Applicant from Central Government /AIS should be holding a post of the level of Director in Government of India or carrying equivalent scale of pay
9	Period of Deputation	For a period of one year initially, which may be extended for a period of 02 years.
10	Employment Status	The applicant must on the date of application

be employed in a regular capacity and not in contractual /adhoc capacity in Central Government including All India Services (AIS)

Applicant may please ensure the following documents are sent along with the application form:

APAR/ACRs of last 5 years (2011-12 to 2015-16)

A certificate on adverse entries in the APAR/ACRs, if any.

If the APAR/ACRs of a particular years between 2011-12 to 2015-16 is pending/not available. No Report Certificate may be furnished.

The details regarding officers holding higher posts on ad-hoc/temporary basis should be clearly specified.

The Vigilance status of the candidature signed by CVOs of the concerned Port (with details of last ten years)
