Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for filling up of the post of Junior Research fellow on contract basis for the DBT project entitled Decoding protein deacetylation networks in the synaptic physiology of epileptic hippocampal neurons under Dr.Bhupesh Mehta, Asst. prof. of Biophysics & Principal Investigator.

Candidates with experience of molecular biology or fluorescence imaging are encouraged to apply. The project covers extensive electrophysiology (patchclamp) in rodent hippocampal slices (acute), and in cultures. Extensive gene transfection, plasmid preparation and designing are required. For reference about the laboratory work, candidates are encouraged to read -Mehta et.al. (2013) Neuron (PMID: 23395377), Mehta et.al. J. Neurosci. (2014) (PMID: 24790194), Mehta et.al. J. Gen. Physiology (2008) (PMID: 18725529), . 28 years Rs.25,000/-+ 30% HRA 2 years (Initial appointment will be for 6 months & will be extended further depending upon the satisfactory performance of the candidate.) |
