Who can apply

a) Interested & eligible candidates having requisite qualifications and experience can walk-in for selection interview at the scheduled date, time & venue.

b) Ex-employees of SAIL Plants/ Units and other PSUs/ Govt. can also apply, provided, they have not separated by opting for voluntary retirement. The ex-employee doctors will have to provide self-certificate in this regard.

Age limit

The upper age limit as on date of advertisement for contractual engagement is 70 years. However, the doctors to be engaged should be medically fit to perform his/her duty.

Tenure of engagement

a) 2 years, extendable by one year upto maximum of two years. There will be no bar on re-engagement. However, the tenure of engagement shall be subject to the upper age limit as prescribed above.

b) The performance of the Doctor so engaged will be reviewed on annual basis and the tenure can be curtailed or extended, subject to satisfactory performance.

The essential qualification, work experience and corresponding remuneration rates of the Doctors to

be engaged under the scheme shall be as under:
