INFORMATION SHEET

Applications in the prescribed format are invited from eligible candidates for appointment as Assistant Professors in various disciplines under the Faculty of Agriculture in Kerala Agricultural University.

Period of Appointment: The appointment to the post of Assistant Professor shall be for a period till the incumbents attain superannuation as laid down in Section 42(4) and (5) of Kerala Agricultural University Act.

(i)

The application should be in the format provided in KAU Website and should be down loaded in A4 size paper. All columns in the form should be filled in properly and legibly. If any column is irrelevant, the same should be filled up by the entry N.A. that is Not Applicable and should not be left blank or filled up by dots or hyphen or any other mark.

(ii)

If there is a difference in the name of the candidate given in the application and that given in the documents, an identity certificate from a Gazetted Officer showing that the name given in the application and in the documents are of the same person, should be attached with the application.

(iii) The envelope containing the application should be super scribed with the name of post and discipline applied for.

(iv)

Candidates who are already in service should send their applications through proper channel.

(v)

Before applying for the post, the candidate should ensure that he/she fulfills the eligibility and other norms prescribed thereto. The University reserves the right to reject any application at any stage of the recruitment process if the candidate is found ineligible for the post for which he/she applied. If appointed, such a candidate is liable to be summarily removed from the service.

(vi)

Qualifications prescribed including experience for a post shall be one acquired by the candidate on or before the date of this notification.

(vii) There will be a Bonded obligation to serve for a minimum period of 3 years in the first posted station/unit.

(viii) No interim enquiry regarding selection will be entertained.

(ix)

Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate.

(x)

Last date and time fixed for receipt of filled-in application to the undersigned is 4 pm on 31/03/2016.

(xi)

Applications received late, incomplete or defective form will be summarily rejected.

Note: As per the Notification, self attested copies of certificates of Academic records, Professional contribution in publications, research performance/managerial experience etc. should be attached along with the application in support of applicants claim, which are not produced later will not be considered in recruitment process.

Filled in applications with self-attested copies of testimonials in proof of age, date of birth, community, qualifications, experience etc. should reach to the Registrar, Kerala Agricultural University, KAU Post, Vellanikkara, Thrissur 680 656 on or before the last date and time fixed as stated above.
