Applications are invited on prescribed format for the following assignment in a purely time bound research project undertaken in the Department of Biotechnology and Medical Engineering of the Institute.

Job Description

To carry out research work in line of the project

Consolidated monthly compensation / Fellowship

JRF: Rs. 25,000/- P.M.

SRF: Rs 28,000/- P.M.

Essential Qualifications and experience

A Masters degree in Engineering with minimum CGPA of 6.5/10.0 (or 60% aggregate) OR a Bachelors degree in Engineering or Science (4 year programme) with a minimum CGPA of 8.0/10.0 (or 75% aggregate) and JRF/95 percentile or higher in GATE score OR a Masters degree in Medicine/Dental/Veterinary/Pharmacy with minimum CGPA of 6.5/10.0 (or 60% aggregate) OR Bachelors degree in Medicine/Dental/Veterinary Science/Pharmacy with a minimum CGPA of 8.0/10.0 (or 75% aggregate) with GATE (any subject) OR a Masters degree in Science or an Allied area while satisfying each of the following three criteria: (a) Minimum CGPA of 8.0/10.0 (or 75% aggregate) in the Masters degree, (b) First division in Bachelors degree, and (c) JRF/95 percentile or higher in GATE score. Essential qualification/experience for JRF and SRF will be as per the DST norms.

Desirable Qualifications/

Experiences

Prior research experience in cell culture/molecular biology, development of biomaterials, in-vitro and in-vivo evaluation of biomaterials is preferred but not mandatory.
