GENERAL INFORMATION AND CONDITIONS FOR THE POSTS OF

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR ADVERTISED VIDE ADVERTISEMENT NO. 04/2018-FC)

1. All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi is an autonomous body established under an Act of Parliament.

2. Service under the AIIMS is governed by that Act and the Rules & Regulations framed there under.

3. All posts carry usual allowances as admissible to Central Government Employees of similar status at Delhi/New Delhi.

4. PAY SCALES

Assistant Professor

Level 12 - Rs. 101500-167400/- (plus NPA for those medical posts for which a recognized medical qualification has been prescribed as an essential qualification).

5. Upper Age Limit:

(i) 50 (Fifty) years.

(ii) Upper age limit shall be determined as on last date of submission of applications.

(iii) No age relaxation would be available to SC/ST/OBC candidates applying for unreserved vacancies.

(iv) Age relaxation permissible to various categories is as under:

6. Applicants who do not possess the essential qualification up-to-the last date of online submission of application(s) will not be considered.

7. The effective date up-to which the requisite experience must be completed would be reckoned as the last date of submission of application(s).

8. The requisite experience in respect of aforesaid vacant faculty posts is relaxable at the discretion of Competent Authority by one year for the candidates belonging to SC & ST categories.

9. Period of probation for all faculty posts is two years.

10. The post(s) is/are whole time and private practice of any kind is prohibited.

11. The employees of the AIIMS will be governed by the New Pension Scheme as per the provision contained in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs (ECB & PR Division) Notification No. 5/7/2003-ECB&PR dated 22.12.2003.

12. Application Fee- Rs. 500/- for UR & OBC (Rs. 100/- for SC/ST candidates). No application fee is applicable for PWBD candidates. Application fee once remitted shall not be refunded under any circumstances.

13. Separate application(s) should be submitted for separate post(s) along-with the prescribed application fee for each post(s).

14. Candidates applying under any of the reserved category posts, viz. SC/ST/OBC will be considered subject to submission of Caste Certificate issued by the appropriate/competent authority on the prescribed format. Community should be clearly and legibly mentioned in the certificate. The detection of any discrepancy in the caste certificate shall entail cancellation of candidature.

Submission of Caste certificate by OBC certificate:

Candidates applying under OBC category must possess valid OBC certificate issued by Competent authority within last one year prior to last date of online application for the post. . Certificate must mention that the candidate does not belong to Creamy Layer and their caste as mentioned in OBC Certificate must be in the Central List of OBC. Certificate must be valid for employment in Central Government Institutions.

Candidates who fail to submit the OBC category certificate with above details or submit OBC certificate valid for state only will not be considered under OBC category. Such candidate can be considered as Unreserved candidate strictly in order of their merit for the applied post, if UR post advertised of that discipline.

15. The aspiring candidates satisfying the eligibility criteria in all respect should submit their application through ON-LINE mode only and must read the instructions, help manual and other details carefully and follow the instructions given therein while making online submission of the applications. Online registration and submission of application will be available on AIIMS website www.aiimsexams.org from 30.10.2018 onwards and will be closed on 28.11.2018 at 5.00 P.M. The candidates can access the details of prescribed recruitment rules and other relevant information in respect of above faculty posts on the websites www.aiimsexams.org and www.aiims.edu .

16. The candidate(s) who submit(s) their online application must submit self-attested copies of their certificates including caste certificate in prescribed Performa, degree, No Objection Certificate from the present employer (in case of candidates working Government/Semi or Quasi Government, Government enterprises or Government funded autonomous institutions) and other relevant testimonials along-with a printout of the application submitted online and the covering letter which will appear on screen after online submission of application immediately so as to reach to the following address on or before 13.12.2018 by 5.00 P.M. positively:

In case of receipt of application/certificates later than last date of receipt of application due to any reason including delay in part of postal department, application will not be accepted.

17. Applications lacking complete information as required in online submission and non-remittance of requisite application fee as well as failure in submission of copies of relevant documents after online submission of application within the specified period will be rejected without any communication.

18. All the original certificates/documents will be verified at the time of interview. The short-listed candidate(s) based on their submission, must bring one print out of on-line application and all original certificates viz. (i) 10th class, (ii) essential qualifications and experience(s), (iii) valid caste certificate if applied under SC/ST/OBC/PWBD category issued by the appropriate/competent authority (iv) No Objection Certificates (if in regular employment in any Govt./Semi Govt./

Government Enterprises/Government funded autonomous Institutions) along with a set of self attested photocopy of the said document(s)/certificate(s).

19. While every effort will be made to provide residential accommodation to the faculty appointed at the AIIMS subject to availability but in view of the paucity of the residential accommodation in the campus, it may not be possible to provide accommodation in every case. In the event that no accommodation is provided, necessary House Rent Allowance (H.R.A) as admissible to the Central Government Servants of similar status stationed at Delhi/New Delhi will be provided as per rules.

20. Canvassing of any kind will be a disqualification.

21. The AIIMS, New Delhi reserves the rights to increase or decrease the number of vacancies.

Prescribed Recruitment Rules for the posts of Assistant Professor advertised vide Advt. No. 04/2018-(FC)

Hematology (2 years or 3 years or 5 years or 6 years recognized course after MBBS) or recognized qualification equivalent thereto for the post of Asstt. Prof. of Clinical Hematology. iii) One year teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the Degree of D.M. in Clinical Hematology (2 years or 5 years recognized course after MBBS) or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto for the post of Asstt. Prof. of Clinical Hematology. However, no experience is necessary for the candidates possessing three years or six years recognized Degree of D.M. in Cl. Hematology.

However, no experience is necessary for the candidates possessing 03 years or 06 years recognized Degree of D.M. in Rheumatology/ Clinical Immunology.
