WALK-IN-INTERVIEW

The Walk-in-interview for filling up of the 32 posts i.e. 09 posts of Assistant Director and Deputy Assistant Director, Group A, Gazetted (Non-Medical), as per existing recruitment rules and 23 (Twenty Three) newly created posts under up-gradation of NCDC, as per draft recruitment rules at NCDC, Delhi and its branches on contract basis initially for a period of one year or till such time the posts are filled up on regular basis, will be held at NCDC, 22- Sham Nath Marg (Near Civil Line Metro Station), Delhi-110 054, as under:-

Essential :- i) Master degree (MSc / MVSc / MD) in Biotechnology / Molecular biology / Microbial genetics / Organic Chemistry / Microbiology OR Zoology with cell biology or human genetics as special subject OR Life-science with specialization in molecular biology / microbial genetics / cell biology or genetics from a recognized University. ii) At least 7 Years experience after Master degree OR 3 years experience after MD degree OR one year experience after PhD degree in the field of molecular biology related to human/ animal health genomics and/or proteomics research, molecular diagnostics, molecular epidemiology and applied innovations in various aspect of infectious disease or other similar areas as evident from publications in journals of high international repute. Desirable: i) Candidate holding PhD degree on a relevant topic (e.g. DNA recombinant technology, cloning, genomic library, gene expression, real-time PCR, DNA/protein sequencing etc. related to human infectious diseases will be given preference for direct recruitment. ii) Sound knowledge of computer application in analysis of molecular data. OTHER TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. The appointment is purely on contract basis for a period of one year or till the regular incumbent joins, whichever is earlier, with effect from the date of joining. Thereafter, the contract will lapse automatically. The appointment can also be terminated at any time, on either side, by giving one months notice or by paying one months salary, without assigning any reason or failure to complete three months to the satisfaction of the competent authority.

2. The appointee shall perform the duties assigned to him/ her. The competent authority reserves the right to assign any duty as and when required. No extra/ additional allowance will be admissible in case of such assignment.

3. The appointee shall not be entitled to any benefit like Provident Fund, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Attendance Treatment, Seniority, Promotion etc. or any other benefits available to the Govt. servants appointed on regular basis.

4. The appointee will not be granted any claim or right for regular appointment.

5. The appointee shall be on the whole time appointment of the Institution and shall not accept any other appointment , paid or otherwise and shall not engage himself/herself in a private practice of any kind during the period of contract.

6. The appointment carries with it the liability to serve in any part of the country.

7. The appointment to the said post will be subject to physical fitness from the competent medical board for which he/ she will be sent to the designated Medical Authority by the concerned Institution/ Hospital before joining the post.

8. The appointee is required to submit a declaration regarding his/ her marital status in the prescribed proforma.

9. The leave entitlement of the appointee shall be governed in terms of instructions contained In DOP&T OM No.12016/3/84-Estt. (L), dated the 12.04.1985, as amended by OM No. 12016/1/96-Estt. (L) dated the 05.07.1990.

10. On appointment, the appointee will be required to take an oath of allegiance to the Constitution of India or make a solemn affirmation to that affect in the prescribed proforma.

11. The appointee is not entitled to any TA for joining the appointment.

12. Other conditions of service will be governed by relevant rules and orders issued from time to time.

13. If any declaration given or information furnished by him/her proves to be false or if he/she is found to have wilfully suppressed any material information, he/she will be liable for removal from service and also such other action as the Government may deem necessary.

Eligible candidates fulfilling the educational qualification, experience etc. as mentioned above may appear for the walk-in-interview on the date and time as mentioned against each post at National Centre for Disease Control, 22-Sham Nath Marg, Delhi -110 054 (Near Civil Line Metro Station). The eligible candidates may register their names for interview between 9.30 AM to 10.30 AM alongwith a resume, original certificates, one passport size photograph and their attested copies. Registration will be closed at 10.30 AM sharp. Candidate reporting after 10.30 AM will not be entertained. Candidates reporting without original document will also not entertained.The candidate must ensure their eligibility as per above Terms of Reference, before appearing for Walk-in-interview
