Advertisement No. 1 of 2017

Applications in prescribed format as given below are invited for recruitment of one (01) post of Driver in the scale of pay Rs.5200-20,200/- with Grade Pay of Rs.1900/- per month with usual D.A. and other allowances as admissible by the Government of Odisha from time to time subject to the result of W.P.(C) No. 1273 of 2014.

The District Judge, Nayagarh reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process at any time without prior notice.

(1) ELIGIBILITY OF THE CANDIDATES

A candidate in order to be eligible for the above post must-

(i) be a citizen of India,

(ii) have attained the age of 21 (twenty one) years and must not be above the age of 32 (thirty two) years as on date of Advertisement,

Provided that the upper age limit in respect of reserved category of candidates shall be relaxed in accordance with the provisions of the relevant Acts, Rules, Orders or instructions for the time being in force.

(iii) be able to read, write and speak Odia and have ,

(a) passed Middle School examination with Odia as a language subject; or

(b) passed Matriculation or equivalent examination with Odia as medium of examination in non-language subject; or

(c) passed in Odia as language subject in the final examination of Class VII from a school or educational institution recognized by Government or the Central Govt. ; or

(d) passed a test in Odia language in Middle English School Standard conducted by the Government in School & Mass Education Department.

(iv) have passed Higher Secondary School Certificate examination (10+2) or its equivalent from any recognised School, Board or Institution and have possessed,

(a) a valid driving Licence for Light Motor Vehicle;

(b) knowledge of motor mechanism; and

(c) experience of driving a motor car for at least three years.

(v) not have more than one spouse living, if married:

(vi) be of good mental condition and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the discharge of his duties in the service. A candidate, who after such medical examination as the Government may prescribe, is not found to satisfy these requirements shall not be appointed to the service.

(2) FEES OF EXAMINATION & MODE OF PAYMENT

The candidates are required to deposit fees of Rs.100/- (Rupees One Hundred only) in Govt. Treasury under the Head 0070-other administrative services-01-administration of justice-501-services and service fees-0010-charges for service provided-02177-examination fees for recruitment conducted by Orissa District & Subordinate Courts and to submit the deposit Challan in original along with their applications.

The S.C / S.T candidates are exempted from payment of the examination fees. Fees so deposited are non-refundable.

(3) The candidates are advised to submit their applications being duly filled in and signed by their own hands furnishing the required particulars as per the format given below. The candidates who are in Government employment are required to apply through proper channel.

N. B. :-

(i) Application should be submitted mentioning the name of post clearly (in Capital letters with underline) on the top of the envelop.

(ii) Non compliance of any of the requirements mentioned in the Advertisement shall entail rejection of his application. The application, if found defective / incomplete in any respect and received after last date shall be summarily rejected.

(4) SCHEME OF EXAMINATION:

(a) Written Test: The Written Test will be of 90 minutes duration carrying 100 marks.

The standard, syllabus and subjects of question paper shall include

(i)General Knowledge, (ii) English & (iii) Vehicle Maintenance & Road Safety Measures.

(ii)And standard of subject will be of Xth (Tenth) Class.

(b) Trade Test: The Trade Test will be of two parts i.e. 20 marks for driving test on practical at field and Trade test on having good knowledge to traffic regulations, ability to locate faults and carry out minor repairs etc will carry of 30 marks.

(5)LAST DATE OF RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS:

Applications along with required documents and self attested copies of certificates must reach the undersigned on or before 10.08.2017 positively by post or be dropped in the Drop Box kept in the office of the District Judge, Nayagarh during office hour on working days. Applications received after last date shall be summerarily rejected.

(6)List of documents to be submitted by the Candidates

(i) Self attested copies of Certificate & Mark-sheet of H.S.C. Examination or equivalent thereto of recognized Board, Council or University.

(ii) Self attested copies of Certificate & Mark-sheet of +2 Examination or equivalent thereto of recognized Board, Council or University as the case may be.

(iii) Self attested copy of Valid Driving Licence for Light Motor Vehicle.

(iv) Self attested copy of Certificate of Driving Training from a recognized institute.

(v) Original Treasury Challan showing deposit of fees of Rs.100/- (Rupees One Hundred) only in the appropriate Head of Account (S.C. & S.T. candidates are exempted from payment of examination fees).

(vi) Self attested copy of caste certificate, in case of S.C./S.T./S.E.B.C., issued by the competent authority.

(vii) Self attested copy of valid Employment Exchange Registration Card, if any.

(viii) Self attested copies of three recent Pass-port size Photographs. (Attestation be made on the front side of the photograph and out of 3 such photographs, one attested photo be pasted in the application form on the space provided for)

(ix) Self attested copy of Certificate having experience of driving a motor car for at least three years.

(x) A self declaration to the effect that he has not more than one spouse living, if married.

(xi) Two character certificates issued by two different Gazetted Officers/Medical Practitioner/Sarapanch etc. (Mention name and designation of the Officer)

(xii) Two self addressed envelops duly stamped worth of Rs.25/- each.
