IIT Jammu Civil Engineering Department wants to recruit SRF or JRF on the topic entitled "Mechanical Metamaterial for Resilient Infrastructure". The proposed SRF or JRF post will be for 6 months contractual. Based on the performance the candidate, he/she may be recommended by the project PI to continue his/her PhD from that grant, maintaining all the requirements as per PhD ordinance of IIT Jammu. Educational qualification and essential skills:

1. The candidate must have a logical understanding, analytical computational capability, sound knowledge in the analysis of the dynamic system and MATLAB programming.
   
   
2. Candidate having the following background can apply for the SRF post. a) M.Tech or M.S. in Structural / Structural Dynamics / Applied Mechanics / Civil or Mechanical Engineering b) Candidate who has submitted their M.Tech or M.S. thesis and waiting for the result are also eligible. c) Age limit 32 for general and for SC/ST/OBC/ Women/PH is could be relaxed 5 years.
   
   
3. Candidate having the following background can apply for the JRF post a) M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics with specialization in the nonlinear differential equation or Applied physics with specialization in lattice theory or condensed matter physics b) B.Tech in structural or equivalent field from reputed institute having 2 years of research experience can able to apply. c) Age limit 30 for general and for SC/ST/OBC/ Women/PH is could be relaxed 5 years
   
   

In the duration of the project, the successful candidate need to help the project PI for simulation, report and scientific article preparation, analytical and numerical solution scheme development, and other task given by the project PI.
