MEDICAL DOCTOR on Fixed Term Contract basis at Mumbai

AIR INDIA LIMITED, wishes to engage Indian Nationals, who meet with requirements specified herein for the post of MEDICAL DOCTOR on Fixed Term Contract basis, for Clinic and Pre / Post-Flight Medical Examination (PFME) in AIR INDIA Offices at Mumbai. The Contract initially will be for period of three years, which would be extendable subject to satisfactory performance and Company requirement, up to the maximum age of 65 years, whichever is earlier.

Standby Panels will also be formed for filling up of post against the candidates who do not join / leave the Company or for future requirements, during the validity of the Panel, which is one year.

(A) ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: (as on November 01, 2018)

i) Educational Qualification:

MBBS Degree from an Indian University recognized by the Medical Council of India. Preference will be given to candidates trained in Aviation Medicine.

ii) Experience:

A minimum of (02) two years experience as medical practitioner. Preference will be given to candidates experienced in Casualty / Industrial Medicine.

iii) Age Limit: (as on November 01, 2018)

Candidate should not be more than 62 years of age as on November 01, 2018.

(B) RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

1) Provide medical facilities to serving / retired employees

2) Prepare medical case records of staff

3) Advise medicines, investigations, treatment modalities, etc.

4) Attend to emergency accident / incident cases before shifting them to hospitals

5) Conduct Pre-employment medical examination

6) Conduct medical examination for re-employment / contractual employment for retired employees

7) Conduct periodic medical examination including weight checks for Crew

8) Conduct pre-flight / post-flight medical examination

9) Any other related assignment

(C) SELECTION PROCEDURE:

After scrutiny of applications, candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria, will be intimated by e-mail to appear for Personal Interview, which will be held at Mumbai. Candidates who qualify in the Interview will be placed on the Panel as per merit on the basis of marks obtained by them in the said Interview. Such selected candidates will have to undergo Pre-Employment Medical Examination, for which they will have to bear the cost, including cost of any additional tests, if required.

(D) EMOLUMENTS: Contractual Doctor will be paid Rs.65,000/- per month break-up of which, is as under :

Remuneration : Rs, 59,800/-

Conveyance : Rs. 5,200/-

The post also carries other benefits such as Leave, Medical and Air Passages, as applicable.

(E) HOW TO APPLY:

i. ii. Candidates will also be required to attach photocopies of self-attested testimonials along with the Application, in support of their:

5. One set of photocopies of relevant Certificates, wherever applicable

6. Applicable for SC / ST / OBC candidates only: Caste Certificate in the prescribed Proforma issued by the Appropriate Authority. Candidates belonging to OBC category will be required to attach the Caste Certificate in the proforma meant for Central Government Employment and the validity of Non-Creamy layer Certificate should not be older than 06 months from the date of Eligibility Criteria. iv. Applications received late / incomplete / unsigned / mutilated or without any of the supporting documents with regard to Eligibility Criteria, Demand Draft (if applicable), will be rejected. Air India will not be responsible for any postal delay / loss of any documents during transit.

(F) GENERAL:

i. Reservation in posts and relaxation for SC/ST/OBC Candidates will be as per Government of India Rules.

ii. Applicants serving in Government / Semi-Government / Public Sector Undertakings should apply through proper channel. (NOC must be submitted with the Application).

iii. The Management reserves the right to modify / change the conditions / requirement / number of posts, based on the actual need, at any point of time in future.

iv. Please note that the Fixed Term Engagement on contract will only be up to the age of 65 years. (For example, if any candidate of 62 years of age will apply for the post and gets selected, his Fixed Term Engagement will be up to the age of 65 years only).

v. The position is based at Mumbai. Company does not provide any accommodation and transportation. Selected Candidates will have to arrange their accommodation / transportation, at their own cost.

vi. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate.

vii. At any stage of the Selection Process, in case it is detected that the particulars provided by the candidate in the Application Form or testimonials supplied, are found to be incorrect / false or the candidate does not meet with any of the Eligibility Criteria prescribed for the post, or has suppressed any material fact(s), his / her application shall be treated as NOT ELIGIBLE and his / her candidature will stand rejected, without giving any reasons thereof.

viii. During the course or after completion or during the extended term(s) of Fixed-term contractual engagement, the candidate will not claim for permanent absorption in the Company.
