Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Pune is a premier autonomous Institution established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, for promotion of high quality science education and research in the country.

The Institute invites applications from Indian nationals having excellent academic record and relevant work experience for the following position purely on temporary and contractual basis under the funded project:

Minimum educational qualifications			M. Sc. Or M. Tech in Environmental Science / Geology or any allied subject with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade.
Name of the Project			Reconstruction of Proterozoic seawater condition: constraints from Geochemistry and Mo isotopes of Black shales

Desirable			Preference will be given to applicants having good exposure in geochemical analysis of environmental samples.
Job requirement			Successful applicant will be engaged mainly to assist the ongoing research projects of the Earth and Climate sciences. He / She will analyze isotopic and geochemical compositions of sedimentary rock deposits.
Tenure of the appointment			Initially for a period of one year, extendable for further period subject to satisfactory performance.
Consolidated fixed			Candidates who have cleared any of the national tests
emoluments per month			like CSIR/NET/UGC/ Gate/ Jest etc are eligible to draw emoluments of Rs.25,000 + 30% HRA. Others will be eligible for Rs. 16,000 + 30% HRA depending on qualification and experience.
Age			Not more than 28 years as on closing date of advertisement

General Information / details about the post

1) The above post is as per the terms and conditions and consolidated pay admissible under the said project.

2) Appointment is purely temporary and will be liable for termination without any notice or compensation.

3) The appointed person shall have no claim of appointment / absorption in IISER Pune.

4) The qualification prescribed should have been obtained from recognized Universities / Institutions.

5) Selected candidate will have to join duty immediately on receipt of the offer

6) Age should not exceed the limit as on the closing date of receipt of completed application. However, age relaxation will be considered in case of SC/ST/OBC/Physical handicapped applicants as applicable.

7) The prescribed Essential Qualifications / Experience indicated are bare minimum and mere possession of the same will not entitle the applicants to be called for interview. Where number of applications received in response to an advertisement is large, it may not be convenient or possible for the Institute to call all the applicants for the selection process. The Institute may restrict the number of applicants to be called for selection process to a reasonable limit, on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than that of the minimum prescribed in the advertisement. The applicants should, therefore, furnish details of all the qualifications and experience possessed in the relevant field, over and above the minimum qualifications / experience.

8) Relaxation in age, educational qualification and / or experience will be considered in case of exceptionally meritorious applicants, with prior approval of the Competent Authority.
