Draft advertisement for JRF & RA position for BHU web page

DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICS BANARAS HINDU UNIVERSITY VARANASI 221005

Applications are invited for a JRF and a RA positions in the DST/SERB research project entitled Nonhermitial quantum theories and their applications sanctioned to Prof.

B.P. Mandal till October 31, 2016. The posts are temporary and coterminous with the project. Candidates should be M.Sc. in Physics with at least 55% marks and NET qualified for JRF position on Rs.25,000/p.m. + HRA and must have Ph.D. degree or equivalent degree for RA position on Rs.36,000/p.m. + HRA. The upper age limit is 28 years for JRF position and 45 years for RA position (relaxation for 5 years for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped/Female candidates). The emoluments for these positions are as per DST/SERB rules posted in their website.

All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules. Candidates with experience of research in the area of the Project or in a related field will be preferred. No TA/DA will be paid if called for interview.
