Fluid Control Research Institute (FCRI) is an autonomous Institute, set up with the assistance of UNDP by Ministry of Heavy Industry & Public Enterprises; Govt. of India. FCRI is engaged in Research and Development in the field of Fluid Flow measurement and Control. FCRI acts as an apex body for initiating and coordinating theoretical and experimental research in the above areas assisting the Flow product industries/Oil and Gas industries/Water distribution authorities and other process industries in product development and in Quality Assurance. The Institute also serves as an independent Authority for Testing & Certification of Fluid Flow equipment.

FCRI invites applications from the eligible Indian Nationals for filling up of vacancies in the post of Research Engineer.

PAY STRUCTURE: Level 10-Pay Matrix: Rs. 56,100 -1, 77,500 ( 4 posts-Unreserved)

Qualifications:

1) B.E/B.Tech or equivalent with M.E/M.Tech with specialization in any of the following areas or

equivalent

a) Fluid Mechanics, Hydraulics, Turbo machines, Thermal and Fluid engineering (2 Posts)

b) Instrumentation and Control engineering, Control systems, Measurement and Control (2 Posts)

2) B.E/B.Tech with 5 years of continuous industrial /R&D experience in the relevant field as mentioned

above can also apply.

3) The candidates applying for the post essentially shall possess GATE score

Job Profile:

Execution of sponsored projects, Research & Development in flow products, Management of laboratories engaged in testing/calibration of flow products, simulation of flow problems through CFD packages, etc.

General requirements and Important Instructions

General requirements:

i. Maximum age limit as on 18/01/2019 is 35 years.

ii. Initially the posting will be at Palakkad, but the incumbents are liable to be posted anywhere in India.

iii. In addition to the pay in the minimum of the pay matrix level, the posts carry DA, HRA and TA as per the Central Government rules.

iv.

Candidates will be shortlisted based on the percentile Score in GATE exam. A written test will be conducted for shortlisted candidates. The final selection will be based on performance of candidates in the written test and interview.

v.

Out station candidates called for interview will be paid to and fro Second Class railway fare by the shortest route on production of Railway ticket or bus fare on production of bus ticket in case they are not availing the free concession offered by Indian railways for the purpose.

Candidates will have to produce original documents in proof of the details furnished in their application at the time of interview. Those who fail to produce the said documents will not be allowed to attend the interview and fare will not be reimbursed

xii. No interim correspondence will be entertained.

xiv. The Institute reserves the right to not fill up any of the posts if it so decides.

xix. Candidates are advised that they should not furnish any particulars that are false, tampered with or fabricated and should not suppress any material information while submitting the application. If found guilty of misconduct/impersonation/canvassing/use of unfair means will be disqualified from document verification process/written test/interview etc. In case of any candidate considered for further process, whose particulars/information is found false at any stage of selection process, his/her candidature will be cancelled immediately without any notice and liability to FCRI.

xx. Candidates already in Government service such as Central/ State Govt./Quasi Govt. offices/Public Sector Undertakings/Autonomous Bodies etc., should inform their Employer or obtain necessary permission, as the case may be, before applying . No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Employer is required to be furnished at the time of Document verification; else the candidates will not be permitted to attend document verification process.

xxi. Candidate should indicate the marks / CGPA and equivalent percentage obtained for Graduation and post-Graduation to the nearest two decimals in the application form

xxii. The percentage marks shall be indicated only based on the percentage marks /CGPA declared/ mentioned in the certificates.

xxiii. Multiple applications for the same post will be summarily rejected.

xxiv. In case of dual qualifications/specializations candidates have to necessarily produce proof at the time of submitting the application that their specialization conforms to the requisite eligibility criteria prescribed for the post.

How to apply:

1) Duly filled application (Application format shall be downloaded from the web site) with selfattested copy of all supporting documents along with the demand draft shall be forwarded through SPEED POST only to The Deputy Director (P&A ), FCRI, Kanjikode West, Palakkad-678 623.

2) The duly filled application should reach FCRI on or before 18/01/2019

3) Before finally submitting the application, the candidates must preview the application to ensure that they have provided correct information and attached an self-attested copies the GATE score card, SSLC/ SSC/ Metric marks card, Degree/PG certificate/ Provisional certificate as the case may be, in support of the qualification prescribed for the post and Experience certificate as prescribed for specific posts and a colour Photograph taken not before the date of this advertisement with name and date stamp . It must also be ensured that the documents scanned and submitted are perfectly legible. Failure to attach the self-attested copies of all the relevant documents prescribed herein above will render the application invalid and liable for rejection. Wrong information in any column may lead to the application getting rejected altogether without assigning any reasons, therefor.

4) A nonrefundable application fee of Rs 500/-in the form of a demand draft shall be submitted along with the application .The Demand Draft shall be drawn on a scheduled Bank in the name of Fluid Control Research Institute, Palakkad payable at Palakkad. SC/ST/PWD/women candidates/ Exservicemen and FCRI Departmental candidates are exempted from payment of fees. Application form without the requisite fee will be summarily rejected without assigning any reasons thereof.

5) In order to avoid last minute rush, the candidates are advised to apply early. FCRI will not be responsible for any postal delay or any other delay encountered while submitting the application with prescribed enclosures.
