Recruitment to the post of Senior Residents for the tenure period (3 years) and Junior Residents (Non-Academic) on contractual basis for a period of 06 (six) months (extendable upto 01 year, if required) for the session January 2018 at AIIMS, Bhubaneswar.

SENIOR RESIDENT:

Online applications are invited from Indian Citizens as per Govt. of Indias Central Residency Scheme, for the following posts of Senior Residents in various Pre-clinical, Para-clinical and Clinical Departments for a maximum period up 3 years in the attached prescribed format. The Senior Residents from the Departments of Orthopaedics, Anaesthesiology, General Surgery and General Medicine will be posted in the Department of Trauma & Emergency Medicine on rotational basis as per the AIIMS, Bhubaneswar Policy.

Candidates may kindly note that :-

• Candidates having MD/DNB in Paediatrics can apply for the post of Senior Residents in the Department of Neonatology, Cardiology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology and Medical Oncology.
  
  
• Candidates having MD/DNB in Medicine can apply for the post of Senior Residents in the Department of Cardiology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology and Medical Oncology.
  
  
• Candidates having MS/DNB in General Surgery can also apply for the post of Senior Residents in the department of Neurosurgery, Paediatrics Surgery, Surgical Oncology, Urology and Burns & Plastic Surgery.
  
  

Essential Qualification:

1. I. A Postgraduate Medical degree viz. MD/MS/DM/M.Ch in their respective disciplines recognised by MCI /Institute of National Importance.
   
   
2. II. Candidates those completing the above courses by January, 2018 are also eligible to apply. They have to produce the pass certificate from the Institute at the time of Interview.
   
   
3. III. For Senior Resident in Critical Care, the candidate should pass MD in Anaesthesiology with 01(one) year experience of PDF in Critical Care from recognised University, will be given preference.
   
   

Upper Age Limit:

1. I. For eligibility to apply for these posts, upper age limit will be 33 years. This is relaxable for SC/ST candidates upto a maximum period of five years, for OBC candidates upto a maximum period of three years. In case of Orthopaedics Physical Handicapped (OPH) candidates, age relaxation is upto maximum period of 5years for General Category, 8 years for OBC category and 10 years for SC/ST category candidates. Those who have finished 3 years Residency Scheme are not eligible.
   
   
2. II. For those applying for these posts after completing DM/M.Ch courses, the upper age limit as on last date of receipt of application will be 35 years. The age limit is further relaxable for SC/ST candidates, OBC candidates & OPH candidates will be as above.
   
   

Mode of Selection:

1. I. Written examination, will only be conducted when number of applications are more than three times than the number of posts. However, there will be no written test for that post against which less number of applications are received than the vacancies. Director, AIIMS, Bhubaneswar will have discretion to decide for which post written examination to be conducted and for which post there will be no written examination. The decision thereof will be final.
   
   
2. II. Candidates working in Govt. / Semi-Govt., PSU should apply through proper channel only. The in-services candidates will not be permitted for examination / interview, without No Objection Certificate from the employer. In this connection, it is mentioned that as per the terms and conditions of Central Residency Scheme that their engagement is to be regulated as per the CCS (Temporary Service Rules). As per rule 1(3) of the CCS (TSR) that these rules shall apply to all persons who hold a Civil Post including all civilians paid from defence service estimate under the Govt. of India, and who are under the rule making control of President, but who dont hold a lien or suspended lien on any post under the Govt. of India or State Govt.
   
   
3. III. Candidates are advised to visit our website regularly to get various updates about the selection process from time to time.
   
   
4. IV. All candidates completing their qualifying eligibility criteria by July session shall be eligible.
   
   
5. V. Depending on requirement, the Authorities may increase/ decrease the number of posts.
   
   

Application Procedure:

1. I. The online application will be available w.e.f. 08th December, 2017 on our website www.aiimsbhubaneswar.edu.in. Candidates who are fulfilling the eligibility criteria may apply through online as per the prescribed format as available through online mode. Candidates who are working in government organisation may intimate their employer about their submission application. However, they will submit NOC at the time of Personal Interview Test.
   
   
2. II. Director AIIMS, Bhubaneswar reserves the right to cancel the advertisement at any point of time without assigning any reason thereof or fill up less/more number of posts as advertised depending upon the Institutional requirement.
   
   
3. III. The original certificate i.e MBBS degree certificate, Internship Completion Certificate, Qualifying degree (MBBS/MD/MS/DNB/DM/M.Ch) Medical registration Certificate, Date of Birth Certificate, Caste Certificate etc. of the candidates who opt/select for the post of Senior Residents will be verified. If any candidates, who joins the post and leave/resign/terminate before the completion of the tenure, he/she may do so by giving one months prior notice as per the rules or by depositing pay and allowance in lieu thereof with the Institute for the period of which notice fall short of one month or so.
   
   

Selection Procedure:

1. I. The candidate can apply for more than one post out of the enlisted Departments.
   
   
2. II. The written examination of 80 marks will be based on the MCQ in the subject concerned and 20 marks for personal interview will be conducted at AIIMS, Bhubaneswar. The date of written examination and personal interview will be uploaded in AIIMS, Bhubaneswar website ( www.aiimsbhubaneswar.edu.in ).
   
   
3. III. Candidates will be sent intimation about the written examination and/or personal interview through e-mail and the same is required to be produced at the time of examination.
   
   
4. IV. The merit list (selected and waiting list) for all categories i.e UR/OBC/SC/ST shall be prepared on the basis of combined marks of written test and personal interview or only Personal Interview.
   
   
5. V. Any vacancy arising because of non-joining by selected candidates in this selection or by resignation of candidates, post will be offered to the candidates from waiting list according to the merit panel. All applicants must provide mobile numbers and e-mail for timely communication.

JUNIOR RESIDENTs (JR) NON-ACADEMIC

Walk-in-interview for the post of Junior Residents (Non-Academic) in different specialities as indicated below in the consolidated pay of Rs. 60,000/- per month, will be held at AIIMS, Bhubaneswar.

1. ESSENTIAL QUALLIFICATION:

I. MBBS from Institution recognised by MCI. The candidate must have completed compulsory internship and must produce internship completion certificate and registration under any state MCI.

II. Those candidates who have passed MBBS (including Internship) not earlier than two years before the start date of Junior Residency (Non Academic), i.e. 17th January, 2018 will be preferred.

III. Those candidates who have already done two terms of Junior Residency anywhere will not be considered.

2. MODE OF SELECTION:

I. Candidates working in Govt., / Semi-Govt., PSU should submit No Objection Certificate from the employer. The in-service candidates will not be permitted for examination/ interview, if no objection certificates from employer is not produced.

II. Candidates are advised to visit our website regularly to get various updates regarding the selection process from time to time.

III. All candidates completing their qualifying eligibility criteria by 17th January, 2018 shall be eligible.

IV. Depending on requirement, the decision of authorities to increase/ decrease number of seats/ post shall be final.

3. APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

I. The applicants have to report at AIIMS, Bhubaneswar at 8.00 AM along with the duly filled in prescribed Application Form given at Annexure-I.

II. The original certificates i.e. MBBS Degree Certificate, Internship completion certificate, Qualifying degrees (MBBS) Medical Registration Certificate, Date of Birth Certificate, Caste Certificate etc., of the Candidates who opt for the post of Junior Residents will be verified before the Walk-in-interview.

The Terms and Conditions :

• The appointment is purely on contractual basis and initially for a period of 06 months. This appointment will not vest any right to claim by the candidate for regular appointment or permanent absorption in the Institute or for continued contractual appointment which may be renewed or terminated as decided by the Institute.
  
  
• The appointment will entitle the appointee to a remuneration as mentioned.
  
  
• The contract will automatically expire on completion of 06 months until it is renewed upto 01 year on the recommendation of the concerned HOD. The contractual appointment can be terminated at any time by the Institute.
  
  
• The leave entitlement of the appointee shall be governed by the Institutes leave rules as amended from time to time.
  
  
• Director, AIIMS, Bhubaneswar reserves the right to cancel the advertisement at any point of time without prior notice or fill up less number of posts as advertised depending upon the institutional requirement.
  
  
• If any candidate who joins the post and leaves/ resigns before the completion of the tenure, he/she may do so by giving one month notice as per rules or by depositing pay and allowances with the Institute in lieu thereof for the period of which notice falls short of one month.
  
  
• The Competent Authority reserves the right to change the number of vacancies, withdraw the process in full or in part and also the right to reject any or all applications received without assigning any reasons or giving notice etc.,
  
  
• This appointment is whole time and private practice of any kind is prohibited.
  
  
• He/she will have to work in shifts and can be posted at any place in the Institute.
  
  
• He/she should also note that he/she will have to conform to the rules of discipline and conduct as applicable to the Institute employees.
  
  
• No travelling or other allowances will be paid to the candidate for joining the post.
  
  
• The candidate should not have been convicted by any Court of Law.
  
  
• Canvassing in any form will render the candidate disqualified for the post.
  
  
• If any declaration given or information furnished by the candidate proves to be false or if the candidate is found to have wilfully suppressed any material information, he/she will be liable to be removed from services and such action as the appointing authority may deem fit.
  
  
• The decision of the Competent Authority regarding selection of the candidate will be final and no representations will be entertained in this regard. The decision of the committee shall be final and binding.

Reservation (for SC/ST/OBC/OPH candidates):

1. I. Reservation has been provided in the above post in accordance with the rules.
   
   
2. II. Reservation for Orthopaedic Physically Handicapped candidates is 5% along with backlog post will be provided on horizontal basis to OPH candidate in their respective categories.
   
   

Candidates applying in OBC/SC/ST category should possess the caste certificate issued by competent authority, valid for administration / Job in Central Govt. Institutions issued before the date of interview, failing which he/she shall not be allowed to appear in the interview for the same category. However, he/she can be treated as UR candidate, if in merit through written examination, subject to verification by Examination Recruitment cell.
