RECRUITMENT

Central Power Research Institute (CPRI) is an autonomous Society under the Ministry of Power engaged in Research and Development in the fields of generation, transmission, distribution and operation of electricity supply systems. CPRI acts as an apex body for initiating and coordinating applied research in electrical power engineering assisting the electrical industry in product development and in Quality Assurance. CPRI also serves as an independent Authority for Testing & Certification of power equipment. The CPRI Head office is situated at Bangalore and its units are at Bhopal, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Noida, Kolkata and Guwahati and site office in NHPTL, Bina (M.P.)

CPRI invites on-line applications from the eligible Indian Nationals for filling up of vacancies in the following posts.

with an aggregate minimum of 65% or 6.84/10 CGPA. Candidates applying with qualification of AMIE should have 65% marks or CGPA 6.84 in Section B alone (Qualifying of AMIE candidates will be regulated as per MHRD Order No. 11-15-2011-AR(TS.II) dated 6.12.2012. Candidates enrolled for AMIE up to 31.5.2013 and completed the course are only eligible).

The candidates applying for the post essentially shall posses valid GATE score for the year 2016/2017.

Engineering Assistant Gr.2

First Class 3 year Diploma in Civil Engineering.

5 Years post qualification experience in areas such as

a) Supervision of Civil works.

b) Knowledge of planning of civil projects such as collecting data information, estimation, tendering procedure.

c) Day to day supervision, co-ordination, maintenance of estate.

d) Knowledge of statutory

All the educational qualifications mentioned should be from a University/Institution/Board recognized by Govt. of India/approved by UGC/AICTE/State Governments.

Mere fulfilling of minimum prescribed qualifications and experience will not entitle the candidates to be shortlisted for MCQ Test/ Skill Test/ Trade Test/ Document Verification Process etc. In the event of number of eligible applications being large, CPRI reserves the right to shortlist the candidates to be called for further process as per academic merit for the posts listed from Sl. No. 2 to 5 above in the ratio/ cut off marks as determined by CPRI, which will be final and binding.

The upper age limit is the age as on the last date prescribed for registration of on-line application i.e. 29.01.2018.The age limit mentioned for posts at Sl. No. 1 to 5 are normal age limits and for reserved categories, upper age limit is relaxable as per Govt. of India norms.

The upper age limit for Departmental candidates with three years of continuous service in CPRI is 5 years over and above the maximum age limit prescribed for posts cited at Sl. Nos. 1 & 2and 10 years for posts at Sl. No. 3 to 5.

Trade test will be go-no-go basis. The candidates who qualify in the Trade test, empanelment shall be done based on MCQ test merit Qualifying in Trade test is mandatory for selection.

Matters relating to Recruitments, Personnel administration, Pay accounting, Finance accounting, preparation of financial statements, MIS reports, returns, taxation correspondence etc.

The eligible shortlisted candidates will be called for OMR based MCQ test and skill test. The final selection will be based on their performance in the MCQ test subject to their qualifying in skill test.

Based on their performance in the MCQ test and Academic merit (i.e. 50% each) candidates will be shortlisted and called for skill test i.e. Computer typing test (30 wpm). Skill test will be purely go-no-go basis. From amongst the candidates who qualify in the Computer Literacy test, empanelment shall be done based on the MCQ test and Academic merit (i.e. 50% each). Qualifying in Typing test is mandatory for Selection.

Maintaining inventory, helping for retrieval by users, cataloging, distribution of materials for cataloging, indexing, overall maintenance of library system with the aid of software etc.

The eligible short-listed candidates will be called for OMR based MCQ test. The final selection will be based on their performance of MCQ test and academic merit prescribed for the post.

The weightage for the purpose will be 50% each in respect of Academic Merit & Marks scored in the MCQ test.

Probation for all the posts will be initially for a period of 2 years. All the posts carry service benefits of NPS contribution/Leave/LTC/Medical benefits and allowances as per Government of India norms.
