Department of Social Defence, Chennai invites applications for District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) from eligible candidates for the following vacancies. The staff to be recruited for the District Child Protection Unit will be on contractual basis and purely temporary.

Vacant Posts & Consolidated Pay

District Child Protection Unit (DCPU)

1. District Child Protection Officer (DCPO) @ Consolidated pay of Rs.33,250/

p.m. (32 posts) 1 DCPO for each district

Qualifications:

District Child Protection Officer (No.of Posts 32)

Essential Qualification Graduation in Social Work / Sociology / Psychology / Criminology / Child Development (10+2+3 pattern)

Preferential Qualification -Preference shall be given to candidates possess Post Graduation in Social Work / Sociology / Psychology / Criminology / Child Development and knowledge in basic computers.

Experience -5 years experience in the field of Social Work, Child Welfare, Social Welfare, Labour.

Age No person shall be eligible for appointment to the posts if he/she has not completed or will not complete 26 years of age or as completed or will complete the age of 40 Years on the first day of January 2016.

Retired Persons

Retired Government servants having sufficient experience in gazette capacity involved in framing of policies or its implementation at the field level, relating to the Social Work/Child Welfare/Social Welfare/Child Labour related issues.

(Age: Not exceeding 62 Years)
