Recruitment for the Post of Superintending Engineer (Civil) in Indian Institute of Technology

  1. Pay scale As per 7th CPC, pay level is 13 at Rs. 1,18,500/-(old PB-4 (Rs. 37,400 67,000 with GP of Rs. 8,700/-))

  2. Maximum age limit 55 years but Executive Engineers or Superintending Engineers having experience of 05 years or above in execution/monitoring of multistorey buildings of educational institutions such as IITs/IIMs/NITs/IISER/IISc may be given age relaxation up to maximum of 05 years.

  3. Educational and Essentials : other qualifications i) Bachelors degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institute.

ii) 15 yearss experience in relevant field as Civil Engineer/(GP 5400) or higher level from CPWD, State PWD or Semi Govt./PSU/Statutory or Autonomous organization/University/Institutes of national importance/reputed organization under Central/State Govt. of which at least 5 years should be in the GP of Rs. 7600/-or above.

Desirable :

i) Knowledge of Computer-aided Design (CAD) and latest Management Technology/other relevant software. ii) Proven track record of handling construction projects/consultancy in organizations of repute.

iii) Experience of working with high tension lines, electrical maintenance, planning and execution of electrical works, Designing and estimation, construction management of large projects etc., as relevant to his specializations.

  1. Period of Probation One year.

  2. Method of Presentation and/or Interview Recruitment

  3. If recruitment by Deputation/Contract deputation/transfer, Officers from the Central PWD/State PWD or similar grades from which services/semi-Govt./PSU/Statutory or Autonomous organization, deputation/transfer University/Institute of national importance/reputed organization to be made. under Central/State Govt.,:

(i) Holding analogous post, Or With at least 10 years regular service as Executive Engineer in the PB-3 with GP of Rs. 6600/-or equivalent; and

(ii) Possessing educational qualification and experience as given at Sr. No. 3 above.
