SPECIAL RECRUITMENT DRIVE

Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati) invites online applications from eligible Indian Nationals for appointment to the following post as a part of Special Recruitment Drive to fill up vacancy for persons with Disabilities (PwDs). Candidates are requested to apply online only. No other means/mode of application will be accepted.

Junior Assistant (Hindi) - 01 post [reserved for PwD (Orthopaedic)] UR

Pay Matrix Level : Level 03; Initial Basic Pay = 21,700/- per month.

(PB1 5200 20200/-, Grade Pay : 2000/- as per 6th CPC )

Appointment is initially on contract for a period of three years and is likely to be regularized based on the performance.

Minimum Qualification and Experience : Bachelors Degree with major in Hindi with English as one of the subjects at the graduation level. Or, Bachelors Degree with major in English with Hindi as one of the subjects at the graduation level.

Desirable: Good working knowledge of computer in office applications and of Hindi soft-wares.

Age: Below 37 years (for PwD-UR category). Relaxation of age for PwD- SC/ST/OBC/ Ex-Serviceman will be as per GOI rules.

NB : Those who have applied against our Advertisement Nos. IITG/R/13/2015 dated 18.12.2015 and IITG/R/07/2016 dated 15.07.2016 need not apply again. However, they may update their application if so they desire by sending the necessary information.

Candidates will have to make the payment of Application Fees of 150/- (as applicable for SC/ST/PwD candidates) through the Online Mode.

Reservation : Reserved for PwD (Orthopaedic)- UR.

3.

Candidates belonging to OBC (NCL) category will have to upload latest OBC (NCL) certificate otherwise, these candidates will be considered as General Category candidates.

4.

The date for determination of age will be the last date of submission of application.

5.

Persons employed in Govt./Semi Govt. Organisations /Autonomous Bodies must upload copy of NOC while submitting the application online.

6.

Selection procedure will be made through a written test and/or skill test (if necessary).

7.

Institute reserves the right to hold any other test to select candidates for the above mentioned post.

8.

Degrees as referred above should be those which have been awarded by a recognized University / Institution.

9.

Mere fulfillment of the minimum qualification will not vest any right on a candidate for being called for a written/skill test etc.

10.

The Institute reserves the right of rejecting any or all the applications without assigning any reason thereof and also to re-advertise the post if no suitable candidates are found. Decision of the Institute will be final and binding in this regard.

11.

Candidates are advised to check their eligibility for the post as per the advertisement before applying for the same.

12.

Any dispute with regard to the selection/recruitment process will be subject to Courts/Tribunals having jurisdiction over Guwahati.
