Candidates are invited to a walk-in interview for the appointment to the following post as per schedule given below :

General Duty Medical Officer (On Consolidated pay) 01 Post.

Pay : Consolidated pay of 70,000/- per month.

Date of walk in interview : 28.12.2018 at 11.00 AM

Qualification and Experience MBBS degree recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI) with minimum 03 years working experience (after mandatory internship) in a Govt. hospitals or large corporate or Public Sector Undertaking Hospital. Preference will be given to candidates having Post-Graduate Degrees in Clinical Subject.

Age: Upper age limit 32 years as on the interview date.

Appointment will be initially on a temporary basis for a period of 01 year and likely to be extended for a further period based on satisfactory performance and necessity of the Institute.

Interested candidates may report to Administration Section in the 2nd Floor of the Administrative Building, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati at 10.00 AM on 28.12.2018 for the walk in interview along with their CV, original documents and a set of photo copy of all relevant documents.

General Information:

1. Duty hours : Duties will be as allocated by the HOS, Medical Section.

Selected candidates will have to visit the Institute at least 5 days a week (minimum 40 hours per week). However, when required GDMO may be asked to do night duty also.

2. Candidates should have working knowledge in using computer systems for information processing and retrieval.

3. The candidate must be a citizen of India.

4. Degrees as referred above are those which have been awarded by a recognized University / Institution.

5. The Institute reserves the right of rejecting any or all the applications without assigning any reason thereof and also to re-advertise the posts if no suitable candidates are found. Decision of the Institute will be final and binding in this regard.

6. Any dispute with regard to the selection/recruitment process will be subject to Courts/Tribunals having jurisdiction over Guwahati.

7. Candidates will not have any claim for a regular appointment in the Institute on the strength of this temporary appointment.

8. Canvassing in any form/bringing in any influence political or otherwise will be treated as a disqualification for the post. INTERIM ENQUIRY WILL NOT BE ENTERTAINED.

9. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates for appearing the interview.
