1. In case of non-availability of suitable candidates with the knowledge of Konkani for the posts in professional colleges, Consultants in Directorate of Health Services and highly technical/scientific posts, the Goa Public Service Commission may recommend a candidate if otherwise found fit and this requirement can be relaxed by the Government, on the recommendation of the Goa Public Service Commission, if the Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do.
   
   
2. Prescribed EQs are minimum & mere possession of same does not entitle the candidates to be called for interview. Where number of applications received is large, the Commission will short list the candidates to be called for interview as mentioned in the Instructions.
   
   

I. GOA MEDICAL COLLEGE

1. Professor in Paediatric Surgery // 1 post (2^nd time) Scale of Pay: Rs. 37,400-67,000+8700/-(pre-revised) (As per revised pay matrix level 13) Age: Not exceeding 45 years. Educational & Other Qualifications:-Essential (i) A recognized medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (Act No. 102 of 1956). Holders of qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (Act No. 102 of 1956). (ii) Post graduate degree or equivalent in the concerned super-speciality or equivalent. (iii) At least ten years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Medical College/Teaching Institution in the subject of super-speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of Doctorate of Medicine (D.M.)/Master of Chirurgiae (M.Ch.).

Note: For candidate with Doctorate of Medicine (D.M.)/Master of Chirurgiae (M.Ch.) degree of three years duration, experience required is at least nine years after qualifying degree.

(iv) Knowledge of Konkani. Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.

2. Lecturer in Paediatric Surgery // 1 post (2^nd time) Scale of Pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100+6600/-(pre-revised) (As per revised pay matrix level 11) Age: Not exceeding 45 years. Educational & Other Qualifications:-Essential (i) A recognised medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in Section 13(3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (ii) Post-graduate medical qualification in the speciality concerned or equivalent. (iii) !t least 3 years teaching experience in the concerned speciality as Senior Resident/Registrar/Tutor/Demonstrator in a Medical College/Teaching Institution. (iv) Knowledge of Konkani. Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.

II. DIRECTORATE OF HIGHER EDUCATION

3. Principal in Goa College of Home Science // 1 post (3^rd time) Scale of Pay: Rs. 37,400-67,000+10,000/-+ Special Allowance Rs. 2000 (pre-revised) Age: Not exceeding 50 years. Educational & Other Qualifications:-Essential: (i) Masters Degree in concerned/allied/relevant discipline (s) from a recognized University with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed). (ii) Ph. D. Degree in concerned/allied/relevant discipline (s) in the Institution concerned with evidence of published work and research guidance. (iii) Associate Professor/Professor with a total experience of fifteen years of teaching/research/administration in Universities, Colleges and other Institutions of higher education. (iv) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in Tables I to IX of Appendix III to the University Grants Commission (minimum qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and other Academic Staff in Universities and Colleges and other Measures for the Maintenance of standards in Higher Education) Regulations, 2010. (v) Knowledge of Konkani. (vi) Minimum fifteen years domicile in the State.

Note: Relevant discipline means, discipline in !rts, Science, ommerce, Home Science and Indian lassical Music (Vocal or Instrumental)

Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.

III. GOA COLLEGE OF ART

4. Assistant Professors in Fine Art (Applied Art) // 2 posts (1 resvd for OBC) (2^nd time) Scale of Pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100+6,000/-(pre-revised) Age: Not exceeding 45 years. Educational & Other Qualifications:- Essential: (i) Bachelors and Masters Degree in appropriate branch of Fine Art (Applied Art) or equivalent with First Class or equivalent either in Bachelors or Masters Degree. (ii) Knowledge of Konkani. Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.
