For the position of Analyst at TIDES, Technology Business Incubator hosted at IIT Roorkee

1. What is TIDES?

Technology Incubation and Entrepreneurship Development Society (TIEDS) has been established to promote innovation and entrepreneurship at IIT Roorkee. To accomplish its goal, TIEDS runs and manages a Business Incubator called Technology Innovation & Development of Entrepreneurship Support (TIDES) Business Incubator hosted at Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee.

2. Job Description

We are looking for highly motivated team players who will have the responsibility of implementing incubation, outreach and administrative strategies for TIDES. Primary responsibilities in this role are:

1. Exploration and Incubation

a. Designing and running exploration and incubation programs

b. Regular engagement with startups in programs and facilitating support

c. Maintaining resource bank and toolkits for startups and tracking their progress

2. Outreach

a. Engaging with potential incubatees and creating pipeline through programs

b. Maintaining database of applicants/potential investors, mentors, speakers

c. Handling and maintaining social media, website and other outreach platforms

3. Administrative

a. Setting up infrastructure in office and co-working space on need basis

b. Maintain financial and administrative records and Update in TIDES internal databases

c. Managing communication with internal and external stakeholders/parties

3. Essential Qualifications and Age

1. Relevant Graduate degree, conversant with technology (computer & related tools)

2. ~2-3 years relevant experience in incubation ecosystem, corporate, CSR or non-profits

3. Upper age limit for the position is 30 years.

4. Essential / Desired Traits and Skills

1. Excellent analytical, collaboration & networking skills with a proactive approach to work

2. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fluency in written and spoken English

3. Keen interest & knowledge of entrepreneurship ecosystems, experience of running or working in a startup would be great.

5. Remuneration, Location and work hours

This position will have a consolidated monthly remuneration, based out of Roorkee, Uttarakhand. It is a full-time contractual position for 1 year, extendable based on performance. Normal work hours are 9 AM to 6 PM. The role demands working extra hours, on call availability & will require travelling.
