A Postgraduate Medical Degree (MD/MS/DNB) in respective discipline from recognized university/Institute.
Note:-If candidates i.e., MS/MD/DNB are not available/eligible in any particular specialty, those who are having 02 years Post Graduate Diploma after M.B.B.S in the concerned specialty can be
(With usual relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC as per rules. (Upper age limit for Persons with Disabilities shall be relaxable by 10 years. 15 years for SCs/STs and 13 years for OBCs. Persons suffering from not less than 40% of relevant disability shall alone be eligible for reservation and age relaxation.)
Pay: Rs. 90,000/-per month (Consolidated)
Indian Nationals only need apply.
Must not have completed 03 years Senior Residency in any recognized institute including regular or Ad-hoc basis.
MODE OF SELECTION:-Written Test and Personal Interview.
Selection of candidates will be based on a written test followed by Personal Interview on the same day. The schedule of Written test/Interview for the above mentioned departments are as below:-

Interested and eligible candidates may attend the Written test/Interview to be held at 08.30.A.M on 24.09.18 at Institute Council Room, Ground Floor, Institute Block, JIPMER, Puducherry-06, along with i) filled in application & Bio-
and an Self-attested copy thereof and iii) copy of the printout of fees paid through online. No fee is required to be payable by Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) candidates.
Select RESIDENT RECRUITMENT FEE from the drop down list of select payment category and fill the following details carefully:-

Kindly note that in addition to the application fee service charge for making online payment will be deducted as per the norms of Bank.

Selection Procedure: -
A written Examination based on MCQs in the subject concerned will be conducted for eligible Candidate followed by personal interview.
The selection process for the post of Senior Resident will include a written examination (80%) and review of academic, research credentials including publications academic awards, research paper, presentation in conferences and performance in personal interview (20%).
Candidates will be shortlisted for interview based on their written test
marks. List of short list candidates will be displayed on our notice board on the same day. In this regard, this Institute reserves the right to take the final decision.
General Information:
- The appointment is purely on contract basis for a period of eleven month (with effect from the date of joining) or till such time the regular appointments against these vacant posts are made, whichever is earlier. If the contract is not extended further, the same will lapse automatically without assigning any reason. The appointment can also be terminated at any time, on either side, by giving one month notice or by paying one month salary
- The contractually engaged persons will not have any claim for permanent or regular employment in Institute as this is purely a temporary contractual engagement and will remain valid up to contractual period for which the engagement is approved on each occasion
- The contractually engaged persons will not be eligible to get official accommodation/quarters allotment within the campus of JIPMER, Puducherry or Kariakal as applicable to the other regular employees of this Institute.
- The contractually engaged persons shall in no case represent or give opinion or advice to others in any matter which is adverse to the interest of the Institute.
- Canvassing of any kind will lead to disqualification.
- The prescribed qualification is minimum and mere possessing the same does not entitle any candidate for selection.
- The appointment is full time basis and private practice of any type is prohibited.

The contractually engaged persons will have to work in JIPMER KARAIKAL at Karaikal, Puducherry (State) 609 602 and they will not have any rights to seek their transfer to JIPMER, Puducherry 605 006.
- The contractually engaged persons may have to work in shifts and can be posted at any place in JIPMER KARAIKAL at Karaikal, Puducherry (State) 609 602.
- The contractually engaged persons are expected to conform to the rules of conduct and discipline as applicable to the institute employees.
- The contractually engaged persons should not have been convicted by any Court of Law.
- In case any information given or declaration by the candidate is found to be false or if the candidate has willfully suppressed any material information relevant to his appointment, he/she will be liable to be removed from the contractual engagement and any action taken as deemed fit by the appointing authority.
- The decision of the competent authority regarding selection of candidates will be final and no representation will be entertained in this regard.
- Applications incomplete in any aspect will be summarily rejected.
- The Competent Authority reserves the right to make any changes in the recruitment process with regard to number of vacancies, age, qualification, experience and other conditions of eligibility / selection process etc.
- The Competent Authority also reserves the right of any amendment, cancellation and changes to this advertisement as a whole or in part without assigning any reason or giving notice.
- All disputes will be subject to jurisdictions of Court of Law at Puducherry.
- The number of posts to be filled up will be decided by the competent authority.
