WALK-IN INTERVIEW to the post of RESEARCH ASSOCIATE III

Department of Medicine, JIPMER, Puducherry will conduct Walk-in interview for the Post of RESEARCH ASSOCIATE III on PURELY TEMPORARY BASIS (co-terminus with the project) for the ICMR funded ad hoc Project (Name of the Project:- JIPMER - Initiating Antimicrobial Stewardship Activities in Hospitals in India) on 20th August 2018 at Department of Medicine, IIIrd Floor, Institute Block, JIPMER, Puducherry.

Essential Qualification:

M.Pharm

Experience:

Completed PhD or Three (3) years of Research Experience after obtaining the essential qualification (Relaxable)

Publications:-

At least one publication in Science Citation Index Journal

Emoluments :- Rs.40,000/- + HRA (as per ICMR Norms)

Desirable Qualification:-

1. GPAT certification
2. Basic computer knowledge required for data entry and data analysis

UPPER AGE LIMIT : Not exceeding 35 years as on 20th August 2018

However, relaxable for Government Servants, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes or otherwise exceptionally qualified applicants up-to 5 years and 3 years in the case of Other Backward Class candidates. (The date of Walk-in-interview will be the date for considering upper age limit).

Candidates fulfilling all the eligibility criteria may report for walk-in-interview on 20th August 2018 (Monday) by 8.00 A.M. with his/her application in the prescribed proforma available in the Institutes website appending therewith self-attested certificates/testimonials/rsum and other relevant documents at the above designated venue for verification of documents before appearing for interview. The candidates, who report after 9.30 A.M. will not be considered.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS for appointment to the post of RESEARCH ASSOCIATE III

1. The appointment is PURELY on TEMPORARY BASIS (co-terminus with the project) will be initially for a period of ONE YEAR and the extension may be granted up to THREE YEARS based on the performance with effect from the date of joining. If the period is not extended further, the same will be lapsed automatically.
2. If performance of the appointee is not found satisfactory by the Principal Investigator then appointment can be terminated at any time without assigning any reason or failure to complete the period of three months to the satisfaction of competent authority.
3. If the appointee wishes to resign, it can be done by giving one months notice or by paying one months salary.
4. The appointee shall perform the duties as assigned to him/her. The competent authority reserves the right to assign any duty as and when required. No extra/additional allowances will be admissible in case of such assignment.
5. The appointee shall not be entitled to any benefit like Provident Fund, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Attendance Treatment, Seniority, Promotion etc. or any other benefits available to the Government Servants, appointed on regular basis.
6. The appointee shall be on the whole time appointment of the JIPMER and shall not accept any other assignment, paid or otherwise and shall not engage himself/herself in a private practice of any kind during the period of contract.
7. The appointment to the said post will be subject to medical fitness from the competent medical board for which he/she will be sent to the designated Medical Authority.
8. The appointee is not entitled to any T.A. for attending the interview and joining the appointment.
9. Other conditions of service will be governed by relevant rules and orders issued from time to time.
10. If any declaration given or information furnished by him/her proves false or if he/she is found to have wilfully suppressed any material, information, he/she will be liable for removal from service and also such other action as the Government may deem necessary.
11. The appointee shall not be entitled to avail any allowances/facilities being extended to the regular/permanent faculty members of the JIPMER.
12. The JIPMER reserves the rights to increase or decrease the number of vacancies.
13. Qualification, experience, other terms and conditions may be relaxed / altered at the discretion of the Principal Investigator.
14. The Income Tax or any other tax liable to be deducted, as per the prevailing rules will be deducted at source before effecting the payment, for which the Department will issue TDS Certificate/s.
15. The appointee will not have any claim for permanent or regular employment in this Institute as this is purely a temporary engagement and will remain valid up to contractual period for which the engagement is approved on each occasion.
16. The appointee will not be eligible to get official accommodation/quarters allotment within the campus as applicable to the other regular employees of this Institute.
17. Canvassing of any kind will lead to disqualification.
18. Decision of the Competent authority will be final.

Based on the performance of the candidates in the written test, the top 5 (Five) candidates will be shortlisted to appear for personal Interview which is scheduled as detailed below:- (List of Shortlisted Candidates will be displayed in the Departmental Notice Board at 2 PM on the same day.)
