Sub: Filling up of two positions for engagement as Project Assistants (PA II).

Applications are invited on plain paper for filling up of two positions of Project Assistants (PA-II) on a purely temporary basis, in the prescribed proforma. The details of the Project under which engagement is proposed to be made is as under:

Title of the Project:	Bulk Synthesis of Porous Crystalline Covalent Organic Framework-Materials for Methane [CH4] Storage
Minimum prescribed educational Qualifications	PA-II: M.Sc. in Physical / Inorganic / Organic Chemistry with minimum 60% marks from recognized University.
Desirable experience, if any	Good academic record and/or research experience in synthesis of organic functional materials and their characterization using techniques such as FTIR, XRD, BET, NMR; should have spirit to work in a team.
Age limit*	30 years (PA-II)
Job requirement	Synthesis and Characterization of organic building units and Covalent Organic Framework-Materials
Consolidated emoluments per month	Rs. 25,000/-
No. of position to be filled up	two (2)

* Age limit as shown above is relaxable by 5 years for women and for candidates belonging to SC/ST community, and 3 years in respect of candidates belonging to OBC community.

The engagement will be initially for a period of six months which may be extended or curtailed depending on the duration of the tenure of sponsored project/ satisfactory performance or conduct of the appointee, as the case may be. The engagement will be purely on temporary basis and shall not be CSIR/NCL appointment, temporary or otherwise and shall not entitle the appointee to any right/claim whatsoever, implicit or explicit, for his/her consideration against any CSIR/NCL post/fellowship.

The format is attached at the end of this advertisement. Please restrict to only one page. Hard copy of the application will not be considered.

Prepare the application in given format and scan it. We should receive only one PDF file as an attachment in the given format. Original certificates/mark-list and hard copy of application to be produced at the time of interview.

The email application should reach on or before 16-09-2018. Late applications will not be considered.

The prescribed educational qualifications are a bare minimum and merely possessing of same will not entitle candidates to be called for interview. Where number of applications received in response to this Notice of engagement is large, it may not be convenient or possible to interview all the candidates. Based on the recommendation of the Screening Committee, the Project Leader may restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to reasonable limits after taking into consideration qualifications and experience over and above the minimum qualifications prescribed in the Notice. Therefore, it will be in the interest of the candidates, to mention all the qualifications and experience in the relevant field at the time of applying.

The short listed candidates will be required to appear for an interview before the Selection Committee in Organic Chemistry Division LH, Main Building (Room No. 176 Ground floor) of the Laboratory at 10.00 am on 19-September-2018. No interview call letter will be issued separately.

No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing for the interview. Selected candidates will have to join for duty immediately on receipt of the offer of engagement.
