SelectionandEligibilityCriteriaforadmission:

1) Ageason1^{st July2018minimumfourteen(14)yearsandmaximum40(forty)years aslimitwith relaxationforSC/ST/OBC(Noncreamylayer)/PH asperthe guidelinesofGovernmentofJharkhand.}

2) A) Eligibilityofmarkstoapplyforfreshers(10^thpass orequivalent) andclassVIII^{th pass(Welder&Carpenteronly):Candidatesobtainingminimum40%or moremarks (forGeneral, OBC,Hatiadisplaced, Sons& DaughtersofHECEmployee, ExEmployee,Dependentofthe deceasedemployee categoryandDefencepersonnels) in class10th/Matriculationor itsequivalentfrom a recognized boardorcouncil can apply. The candidatesapplyingfortradesWelder & CarpentershouldalsopassmarksinclassVIIIth.ThecandidatebelongingtoSC/STand PH categorymustobtainpassmarksinclass10th oritsequivalentaswellasclassVIIIthfor Welder&Carpentertradesonly. 4) Admissionshallbemade accordingtomeritlist. Threeseparatemeritlists willbemade fortheadmission.ThefirstmeritlistwillcompriseofITIqualifiedcandidates,thesecondmeritlistwillbe of10^{th classpass/matriculationoritsequivalentfromarecognisedboardorcouncilandthethirdmeritlistwillbecomprisedforclassVIIIthpasscandidates. ForITIpasscandidates themeritlistshallbepreparedonthebasis ofthemarksobtained}

inITIexaminationin their respectivetrades.In caseof candidateshavingsameorequalmarks inITIexamination,theirsenioritywillbedecidedonthe marks obtainedinclass10^thor equivalent.AgainIncaseof tie between candidateshavingsame orequalmarksinclass10^{th orequivalenttheirsenioritywillbedecidedaccordingtothe date ofbirth in favourofolder candidate.Againincaseof tiebetween thecandidatesindateofbirth,theirsenioritywillbedecidedas perfirst letterofthefirstnameaccordingtoEnglishalphabet.}

For10^{th pass/Matriculationorequivalentcandidates theirmeritlistshallbe preparedonthebasisofmarksobtained inclass10th orequivalent.Incaseoftiebetweencandidateshavingsameorequalmarksinclass10th orequivalenttheirsenioritywillbedecidedaccordingtothe dateof birth in favour ofoldercandidate. Again in case oftie betweenthecandidatesindateofbirth,theirsenioritywillbedecidedasperfirstletter ofthefirstnameaccording toEnglish alphabet.}

Forthe candidateswhoseresultare basedonCGPA,theirpercentageofmarkswillbecalculatedby multiplying9.5withtheir CGPAandaccordingtopercentageofmarkssoarrived,theywillbeplacedatmeritlist.

ForVIII^{th pass candidates:Themeritlistof VIIIth passcandidates(Welder&Carpentertradesonly)willbepreparedaccordingtothemarkssecuredinclassVIIIth.Incaseofcandidates having same orequal marksin classVIIIth,theirsenioritywillbedecidedaccordingtothe dateofbirthinfavourofoldercandidate.Againin caseoftiebetweenthecandidatesin dateofbirth, their senioritywillbedecidedasperfirstletter of thefirstname according to English alphabet.}

5) ForX^{th pass/MatriculationqualifiedandVIIIth passcandidates,anincrementof 10markswillbeaddedtothepercentageofmarkssecuredinMatriculation or equivalentaswellasclassVIIIthoutof aggregate 100%to the wardof (I) Employees(ii)Exemployees (iii)Contract labour(iv) Hatiadisplaced familiesand(V) Dependentofthedeceasedemployeessubjectto maximum100marksi.e.afteradding10itmustnotexceed100.Noincrement/bonusmarkswillbeaddedinthecaseofITIpasscandidates.}
