Essential Qualification For (Sl. No. 1 to 7): (i) A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part-II or the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956(102 of 1956). Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956(102 of 1956). (ii) Post-graduate degree in the concerned speciality or Super speciality mentioned in Section A Schedule-VI or equivalent recognized DNB qualification awarded by National Board of Examination. Essential Experience for Associate Professor (other than Super Speciality): (i) At least 05 years experience in the concerned specialty as Tutor /Demonstrator / Senior Resident / Registrar / Lecturer in a recognized teaching institution, after the requisite Post-graduate degree qualification out of which at least 2 years shall be as an Assistant Professor.
Essential Experience for Associate Professor (Super Speciality): At least 05 years experience as Senior Resident / Tutor / Demonstrator / Registrar / Lecturer in the concerned speciality in a recognized teaching institution, after the first Post-graduate qualification. Essential Experience for Assistant Professor: (i) At least 03 years teaching experience in the concerned speciality as Lecturer/Tutor/Registrar/Demonstrator/Senior Resident after the requisite post graduate degree qualification. Note 1: In the case of holders of D.M. / M.Ch. qualification of 05 years duration, the period of Senior PG residency rendered in the last part of the said D.M. / M.Ch shall be counted towards requirement of five years experience. Note 2: Teaching experience in any other post like the post of General Duty Medical Officer/Medical Officer shall not be considered for eligibility purpose for recruitment to teaching posts. Note 3: For Associate Professor Desirable: Minimum of 4 Research Publications indexed in index Medicus or National journals. *UR candidates may also as it is anticipated that a few UR category vacancy may likely to come up in future. Essential Qualification for Medical Superintendent (Sl No. 8): (i) A Medical qualification included in the I or II Schedule or Part II of the third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in part II or third schedule) should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section 13 (3) of the Act. (ii) A Postgraduate qualification, e.g. MD or MS or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto And / or Masters in Hospital Administration or a Post Graduate Degree recognized as equivalent to Masters in Hospital Administration by the Medical Council of India. Desirable: PG degree holder in Psychiatry. Experience: 10 years experience in Hospital Administration, preferably in a hospital with 300 beds, after obtaining the P.G. Degree in a senior position. Essential Qualification for Deputy Medical Superintendent (Sl.No. 9): (i) A Medical qualification included in the I or II Schedule or Part II of the third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in part II or third schedule) should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section 13 (3) of the Act. (ii) A Postgraduate qualification, e.g. MD or MS or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto And / or Masters in Hospital Administration or a Post Graduate Degree recognized as equivalent to Masters in Hospital Administration by the Medical Council of India. Desirable: PG degree holder in Psychiatry. Experience: 5 years experience in Hospital Administration of a Hospital with at least 300 beds after obtaining the P.G. Degree in a senior position. Essential Qualification for Assistant Medical Superintendent (Sl.No.10): (i) A recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of Section 13 of the IMC Act, 1956 and (ii) Post Graduate degree in any medical specialty. Desirable: (i) Experience in Hospital Administration. (ii) PG degee holder in Psychiatry. Essential Experience: 3 years experience in the specialty after PG Degree.

Phil. in Clinical Psychology/Medical & Social Psychology iii) Ph.D/D.Sc. in Psychology from a recognized Institution / University. Essential Experience for Professor: i) 12 years standing in profession with teaching & research experience out of which 4 years as Associate Professor in Clinical Psychology in a recognized department/centre. Desirable: i) 05 (five) publications in indexed journals as first/corresponding author. Essential Qualification for Associate Professor (Sl.No.2, 3 & 4) i) First or Second Class (55%) Masters Degree in Social Work/Psychology/Nursing (ii) M. Phil. in Psychiatric Social Work/ in Clinical Psychology/Medical & Social Psychology /Nursing (Psychiatric Nursing)( iii) Ph. D / D.Sc. in Social Work/Psychology/Nursing from a recognized Institution / University. Essential Experience for Associate Professor: i) 5 years teaching & research experience as Assistant Professor in Psychiatric Social Work/ Clinical Psychology /Psychiatric Nursing in recognized department/centre. Phil. in Clinical Psychology/Medical & Social Psychology / Nursing(Psychiatric Nursing). (iii) Ph. D /D.Sc. in Psychology/ Psychiatric Nursing from a recognized Institution/ University. Desirable: 2 research publications in indexed journals as first/corresponding author. Essential Experience : 3 years teaching / clinical / research experience in the concerned subject after Ph.D. degree. Essential Qualification for Clinical Psychologist (Sl.No.7): i) First or Second Class (55%) Masters Degree in concerned specialty ii) M. Phil. in Clinical Psychology /Medical & Social Psychology from a recognized University /Institution. RCI registration for the post of Clinical Psychologist will be compulsorily required.
Essential Experience: 2 years teaching & research experience as Clinical Psychologist in a Mental Hospital, Child Guidance Clinic or Psychiatric Department of a General Hospital/ recognized teaching Institution. Desirable: i) Research /published work in indexed journals. ii) Working knowledge on local /regional language. Essential Qualification for Speech Therapist (Sl.No.8): i) B.Sc. (Hons) in Speech Pathology & Audiology or equivalent qualification from a recognized University / Institutions. Desirable: 3 years working experience in the field of Speech Pathology preferably in Neuro psychiatric disorder in a psychiatric hospital of Central / State / Semi Govt. organization. Essential Qualification for Vocational Therapist (Sl.No.9): (i) Masters degree in Psychology / MSW from a recognized University or its equivalent qualifications. (ii) Postgraduate degree / diploma in Vocational guidance and training from a recognized Institution. (iii) Five years teaching & clinical experience in the field of rehabilitation of the psychologically handicapped in a recognized Institution. Desirable: Experience of research in the field of Vocational guidance for at least one year. Essential Qualification for Dietician (Sl.No.10): i) First Class M.Sc. in Home Science with Diploma in dietetics from a recognized University/ Institutions or First Class Masters Degree in Food & Nutrition from a recognized University / Institution. Desirable: 3 years working experience in the field out of which 2 years experience as dietician in a hospital. GENERAL CONDITIONS
(1) Candidates who do not fulfill requirement of advertisement need not apply. (2) All Medical Qualifications should be recognized under MCI. (3) All applicants for Non-Medical post should have at least 55% marks in aggregate in Masters degree besides other qualification. (4) Applicant of Clinical Psychology Department should be a registered Professional of RCI under the category of Clinical Psychologist. (5) Allowances will be as per Central Government rates as adopted by this Institute from time to time and NPA will be admissible in case of Medical Posts only. (6) Persons with Disabilities are required to produce the physically handicapped certificate (with degree of disability) in original issued by the Competent Authority (i.e. Medical Board duly constituted by the Central Govt. or State Govt.) at the time of interview. (7) Candidates working in State/Central Govt. / PSU/Autonomous Body must apply through proper channel or submit No objection certificate (8) In case of deputation, vigilance clearance / integrity certificate/Complete ACR dossiers/ attested copies of last 5 years ACRs of the applicant from the parent department will be required. (9)Relaxation in upper age limit will be applicable in case of SC / ST / OBC candidates as per the Central Government norms. (10) In case of deputation, vigilance clearance/ integrity certificate from the parent department will be required.
