ART Centre at Rajendra Memorial Research Institute of Medical Sciences, Agamkuan, Patna sponsored by NACO (National Aids Control Organisation) the under mentioned post on purely temporary basis for a period one year subject to extension of appointment with effect from the date of appointment or up to closure of the ART Centre which ever fall earlier, under the Director, RMRIMS, Patna /Nodal Officer , ART Centre Interested candidates those who are possessing qualification and experience as shown below may turn up for interview/personal discussion in the institute premises on 16/11/2018 at 10 A.M. along with their application mentioning (1) Name (2) fathers Name (3) Date of Birth (4) Details of Qualification (5) Work experience (6) Present Address for communication etc, supported with Original Certificates in proof of date of birth educational qualification experience etc. with a Xerox copies thereof along with a passport size colour photograph for following posts.

Qualification :

Masters Degree in Social Work (preferably specialized in medical & psychiatric social work). If no candidate with the above qualification with the above qualification is available candidates with degree in sociology may be considered. Qualification and competent PLHIV, if available, should be given preference while appointing counsellors. Alternatively, a qualified graduate nurse can be appointed as counsellor but he/she must undergo 12 days counsellor training at NACO designated institute. The Counsellor plays important roles as a member of ART team and his/her responsibilities are crucial for the success of the programme and improved outcomes of the patients.

Job Responsibilities :

1. Disclosure to the family of the HIV + (positive) persons. 2. Address issues of stigma and discrimination and rights of PLHA 3. Address issues related to ARV treatment (i. Pre-ART or treatment preparedness exercises, encourage and help in finding guardian support. ii. Explain the details of treatment and its importance, side effects of the ARV drugs and limitations of ART (e.g. issues concerning failure of first line therapy and lack of potions for HN 2 infection at present). 3. Adherence counselling and monitoring, identification of barriers adherence and suggestions (remedies) to remove these barriers. 4. The counsellor should do ill continuing for PLHAS on ART. 5. Formula for calculating adherence of a Patient on ART (adherence of a patient for a particular time period = The extent proportion/fraction/percentage by which the patient adhered). 6. Register patient in the ART centre and till in the patient ID card enter/transfer data in (stacked to) the treatment regimen during that particular time period = (no. of tables/doses actually taken by a patient for a particular time period) = (no. Of tablets/doses the paint should have taken during this same time period) x 100. 7. Provide emotional, social and psychological support t patients and / or direct the patient to the concerned person or organization that can do so. 8. Direct patients to linked or referred centres and departments and assist in palliative and home-based care condoms. 9. Complete the required sections in the recording and reporting tools kept by the ART centre (details are mentioned separately).

Salary : Rs.13,000/- (per month fixed.)

Age : Below 62 years (as on 16/11/2018.)

Note:-

1. The post is for an external sponsored project undertaken by the Institute/Principal Investigator and no claim in future for employment under the ICMR/Institute shall be tenable.

2. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

3. Appointment No claim for subsequent appointment under ICMR will be tenable in future.

4. Appointment will be on contractual basis for a period as mentioned or closer of project which ever fails earlier.

5. During the appointment if performance of the appointee is not found satisfactory by the investigator, appointment can be terminated any time and without any notice.
