Advertisement for the Position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Applications are invited from the interested candidates for ONE post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), India, sponsored research project entitled Design and Development of High-Efficient PFC based AC-DC LED Driver for AC-Grid Fed LED Lighting System (Ref. No. EMR/2017/004913). The staff will be appointed initially for one year (contractual) and the services may be extended till the end of the project based on the performance review.

Details of post, Qualifications, Emoluments and Duration etc..:

Eligibility	First class with not less than 60% aggregate (or) not less than 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale in B.Tech/BE in Electrical Engineering and First class with not less than 60% aggregate (or) not less than 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale in M.Tech/ ME in the specializations of Power Electronics (or) Power Electronics and Drives (or) Power Electronics and Power Systems from a recognized technical institute or university as a full time program. The candidate must have M.Tech through GATE (or) a valid GATE score. Those who are appearing for the M.Tech/M.E final semester examination may also apply. Proof of M.Tech/M.E certificate has to be provided during the time of interview.
Duration	Total Three years, but initial appointment for a period of one year and may be extended up to the period of project duration based on annual performance review.
Consolidated Salary	1. Rs.25,000/- pm for first 2-years and Rs.28,000/- pm for third year. 2. HRA as approved by SERB and institute norms as applicable. 3. Selected candidate is eligible for on campus Hostel & Mess facilities at their own expenses.
Other Benefits	Selected candidate is eligible to register for PhD degree at NIT, Warangal.
Age Limit:	Preferably less than 30 years as on the last date for submission of application. However, age relaxation will be given for the deserving candidates.

Desired Skills:-

Strong fundamentals in electrical engineering subjects including power electronics.

Knowledge of simulation software such as PSIM, MATLAB etc.

Experience of working on implementation of hardware power converter modules/PCB design

Basic knowledge of VHDL/ DSP programming or equivalent to generate control signals.

Experience in on PFC converters & Hardware fabrication

Ability to write technical research papers, work in a team and good communication skills.

Working knowledge of LED drivers for lighting systems is most desirable.
