INSTITUTE SPOT ROUND FOR M.TECH ADMISSIONS 2018

Institute Spot Round of admissions for the vacant seats in various M.Tech programs at National Institute of Technology, Warangal will be held as per the following schedule:

Registration Time	9.00 AM to 11.00 AM
Venue	Institute Auditorium

Eligibility:

Admission to M.Tech program through Spot Admission at NIT, Warangal will be as per the CCMT-2018 norms and the Special Eligibility conditions of NIT, Warangal.

As per the instructions from CCMT-2018, candidates to whom seats were allotted and taken admission through CCMT-2018 will be permitted to participate in the Institute Spot Round only after producing documentary proof for the cancellation of admission from the admitted institute.

Vacancy status for Spot Admission will be displayed in the Institute website on 06.08.2018.

Registration for Spot Admission: The eligible candidates should register for spot admission in person on 09.08.2018(Thursday) between 9.00 AM to 11.00 AM. Those who report after 11.00 AM will not be allowed for registration.

Selection Process for M.Tech : Seats will be allotted to the eligible candidates based on valid GATE score (2016 or 2017 or 2018) only.

In the case of candidates having same GATE score, following criterion will be used in the stated order or preference.

1. Candidates having GATE score in 2016 will be given first preference, then 2017 and then 2018.

2. If years of GATE score is same then the candidate who was born earlier as compared to other candidates with tie, will be given preference.

3. In highly unlikely event of their birth date being same i.e. same date with same GATE score and year then preference will be given to that candidate who has passed qualifying exam in earlier academic year.

Original Documents to be produced at the time Institute Spot Round:

In case, a candidate gets a seat, he/she has to pay the Institute fee and produce the following documents in original for verification, failing which his/her seat allotment will be cancelled and that seat will be allotted to the next registered candidate in the list.

a) Aadhar Card

b) GATE Score Card(2016/2017/2018)

c) Class X (High School) Board Certificate as proof of date of birth

d) Intermediate Pass Certificate / 10 + 2 Pass Certificate

e) Grade/Mark Sheets of all semesters of qualifying examination

f) Degree/Provisional Pass Certificate, if degree is completed

g) Course Completed Certificate (for candidates awaiting results)

h) Certificate of category(OBC / SC / ST), if applicable, issued by the competent authority (OBC Certificate (Non-Creamy Layer) should have been obtained on or after 01.04.2018 is only accepted

i) Certificate from the Medical Board of Govt. Medical Colleges/Dist. Head Quarters Hospitals, in the case of Physically Handicapped candidates.

j) Transfer/Leaving Certificate from institution last attended

k) Migration Certificate

l) Study and Conduct(Character) Certificate from the Head of the Institution

m) Three passport size photographs

Institute Fee:

The candidates who are allotted seats in Institute Spot Round need to pay the Institute fee Rs.57,050/- (for all categories) immediately, Payment has to be made through Demand Draft in favour of DIRECTOR FEE ACCOUNT, NITW

Hostel Accommodation:

For candidates admitted through Institute Spot Round, hostel accommodation is not guaranteed, However, for female candidates attempt will be made to provide accommodation in vacant staff quarters. Male candidates have to make their own arrangements for accommodation, outside the campus.
