CSIRCentral Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CSIRCIMAP), a multidisciplinary multilocational research laboratory of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) invites applications from Indian Nationals for engagement as Consultants on temporary ( nonofficial in the area of IORARCSTT Coordination Centre on Medicinal Plants at CSIRCIMAP, Lucknow from Indian Nationals with the following job description and educational qualification:

1. Project Manager (Consultant)1No. BSc./MSc in Plant Sciences with Master in Business Administration as it involves knowledge of plants and understanding the business and industry of the IORA member nations. The Consultant will coordinate annual meetings, day to day communications and affairs of the project Upto Rs.1.00 Lakh consolidated per month depending upon candidates eligibility.
2. Programme Administrator (Consultant)1No. Msc/PhD in Plant Sciences with specific knowledge in Plant Taxonomy and Economic Botany. Experience in IT database preparation and IT knowledge will be added advantage. To prepare, maintain and develop a large database of Medicinal plants and related industry in IORA member countries including India. Upto Rs.50,000/consolidated per month depending upon candidates eligibility.
  1. Period of engagement of Consultant: Consultant will be appointed on temporary (non official) basis and the appointment may be cancelled, at any time by CSIR, without assigning any reason whatsoever by giving one month notice. Initial appointment will be for one year and may be renewed on the basis of performance evaluation.

  2. AGELIMIT : The maximum age limit of Consultants will generally be 65 years during the period of their engagement.

  3. Procedure for selection of Consultants: On the basis of the information furnished by the Applicants, shortlisted candidates would be called for personal interview. The Consultant will be selected on the basis of interview conducted by a Board.

4. An agreement will be required to be signed by the Consultant.

5. The Consultancy will not entitle the concerned person to any claim of Government service and/ or CSIR service, in any manner

6. General conditions for engaging Consultant:

  1. The selected persons should be ready to serve at any of the offices/Research Centers of CSIRCIMAP located at Lucknow, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pantnagar, Purara (Distt. Bageshwar) or at any place of posting in India as per need of CSIRCIMAP R&D activities.

  2. The period of experience in the requisite discipline/area of work wherever prescribed, shall be counted with effect from the date of acquiring the prescribed minimum educational qualifications required for the post.

  3. The cutoff date for determining the qualification, age and experience of a candidate will be last date of receipt of applications.

  4. Mere fulfillment of essential educational qualifications & experience does not entitle a candidate to be called for Interview. The decision of CSIRCIMAP/ CSIR in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, mode of selection and conduct of interview will be final and binding on the candidates and no enquiry or correspondence will be entertained in this connection from any candidate.

  5. Incomplete applications and applications not supported by attested copies of certificates of educational qualification, experience certificate, etc are liable to be summarily rejected.

  6. Canvassing in any form and bringing in influence political or otherwise will be treated as disqualification.
