GENERAL INFORMATION AND CONDITIONS FOR THE NEWLY ADDED VACANT POSTS OF ASSISTANT PROFESSOR THROUGH ADDENDUM

1. All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi is an autonomous body established under an Act of Parliament.

2. Service under the AIIMS is governed by that Act and the Rules & Regulations framed there under.

3. All posts carry usual allowances as admissible to Central Government Employees of similar status at Delhi/New Delhi.

4. PAY SCALES

Assistant Professor

Level 12 - Rs. 101500-167400/- (plus NPA for those medical posts for which a recognized medical qualification has been prescribed as an essential qualification).

5. Upper Age Limit:

(i) 50 (Fifty) years.

(ii) Upper age limit shall be determined as on last date of submission of applications.

(iii) No age relaxation would be available to SC/ST/OBC/PWBD candidates applying for unreserved vacancies.

(iv) Age relaxation permissible to various categories is as under:

6. Applicants who do not possess the essential qualification up-to-the last date of online submission of application(s) will not be considered.

7. The effective date up-to which the requisite experience must be completed would be reckoned as the last date of submission of application(s).

8. The requisite experience in respect of aforesaid vacant faculty posts is relaxable at the discretion of Competent Authority by one year for the candidates belonging to SC & ST categories.

9. Period of probation for all faculty posts is two years.

10. The post(s) is/are whole time and private practice of any kind is prohibited.

11. The employees of the AIIMS will be governed by the New Pension Scheme as per the provision contained in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs (ECB & PR Division) Notification No. 5/7/2003-ECB&PR dated 22.12.2003.

12. Application Fee- Rs. 500/- for UR & OBC candidates and, Rs. 100/- for SC/ST candidates. No application fee is applicable for PWBD candidates. Application fee once remitted shall not be refunded under any circumstances.

13. Separate application(s) should be submitted for separate post(s) along-with the prescribed application fee for each post(s).

14. Candidates applying under any of the reserved category posts, viz. SC/ST/OBC/PWBD will be considered subject to submission of Caste/Disability Certificate issued by the appropriate/competent authority on the prescribed format. Community should be clearly and legibly mentioned in the certificate. OBC candidates eligibility will be based on the caste(s) borne in the Central List of Government of India. OBC candidate(s) should not belong to Creamy Layer and their sub-caste should match with the entries in Central List of OBC, failing which their candidature will not be considered under any of the applied category post(s). The candidature of PWBD applicant is subject to evaluation by the Medical Board duly constituted by the Director, AIIMS, New Delhi.

15. Only such persons would be eligible for reservation under PWBD quota in service/posts as per provision of Disability Act. Persons who want to avail of benefit of reservation would have to submit a Disability Certificate issued by a competent authority in the prescribed format.

16. For 21 posts as mentioned in Addendum, Link will open on 06.09.2018The aspiring candidates satisfying the eligibility criteria in all respect should submit their application through ON-LINE mode only and must read the instructions, help manual and other details carefully and follow the instructions given therein while making online submission of the applications. 17. 18. Applications lacking complete information as required in online submission and non-remittance of requisite application fee as well as failure in submission of copies of relevant documents after online submission of application within the specified period will be rejected without any communication.

19. All the original certificates/documents will be verified at the time of interview. The short-listed candidate(s) based on their submission, must bring one print out of on-line application and all original certificates viz. (i) 10th class, (ii) essential qualifications and experience(s), (iii) valid caste certificate if applied under SC/ST/OBC/PWBD category issued by the appropriate/competent

20. While every effort will be made to provide residential accommodation to the faculty appointed at the AIIMS subject to availability but in view of the paucity of the residential accommodation in the campus, it may not be possible to provide accommodation in every case. In the event that no accommodation is provided, necessary House Rent Allowance (H.R.A) as admissible to the Central Government Servants of similar status stationed at Delhi/New Delhi will be provided as per rules.

3.	Asstt. Prof. of Biophysics	For Medical Candidates i) Same as for Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Post Code No. 02 above. ii) A postgraduate qualification, i.e. M.D. in Biophysics or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto. iii) Three years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD in Biophysics or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto. 		ii) D.M. in Cardiology (2 years or 3 years or 5 years or 6 years recognized course after MBBS) or recognized qualification equivalent thereto. iii) One year teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the Degree of D.M. in Cardiology (2 years or 5 years recognized course after MBBS) or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto. However, no experience is necessary for the candidates possessing three years or six years recognized Degree of D.M. in Cardiology.
5.	Asstt. Prof. of Cardiac Anesthesiology	i) Same as for Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Sl. Prof. of Oral Medicine & Radiology(CDER)	i) A Graduate Dental Qualification e.g. included in Part-I of Dentist Act, 1948 ii) MDS in Oral Medicine & Radiology or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto. iii) Three years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of MDS in Oral Medicine & Radiology or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
07.	Assistant Professor of GI Surgery & Liver Transplantation	i) Same as for Assistant Professor of Anaesthesiology at Sl. No. 01 above. ii) M.Ch. in GI Surgery (2 years or 3 years or 5 years or 6 years recognized course after MBBS) or recognized qualification equivalent thereto. iii) One year teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the Degree of M.Ch. in GI Surgery (2 years or 5 years recognized course after MBBS) or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

However, no experience is necessary for the candidates possessing three years or six years recognized Degree of M.Ch in GI Surgery.

Assistant Professor of Laboratory Medicine

FOR MEDICAL CANDIDATES

i) Same as for Assistant Professor of Anaesthesiology at Sl. No. 01 above.

ii) A postgraduate qualification, i.e. M.D. in Laboratory Medicine or Microbiology or Pathology or Biochemistry or Hematology or qualification recognized equivalent thereto. However, the candidates possessing MD in Laboratory Medicine will be preferred.

iii) Three years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD in the aforesaid specialties or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

FOR NON-MEDICAL CANDIDATES

i) A postgraduate qualification i.e. Masters Degree in the discipline/allied subjects.

ii) A Doctorate Degree i.e. Ph.D in Biochemistry or Hematology or Pathology of a recognized University or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto.

iii) Three years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject concerned after obtaining the Doctorate Degree.

Asstt. Prof. of Medical Oncology

i) Same as for Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Sl.No. 01 above.

ii) D.M. in Medical Oncology (2 years or 3 years or 5 years or 6 years recognized course after MBBS) or recognized qualification equivalent thereto.

No. 01 above. ii) M.Ch. in Pediatric Surgery (2 years or 3 years or 5 years or 6 years recognized course after MBBS) or recognized qualification equivalent thereto. iii) One year teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the Degree of M.Ch. in Pediatric Surgery (2 years or 5 years recognized course after MBBS) or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto. However, no experience is necessary for the candidates possessing three years or six years recognized Degree of M.Ch. in Pediatric Surgery.

14.	Asstt. Prof. of Psychiatry(NDDTC)	i) Same as for Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Sl. No. 1 above. ii) A postgraduate qualification i.e. M.D. in Psychiatry or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto. iii) Three years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD in Psychiatry or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
15.	Asstt. Prof. of Radiology(NCI Jhajjar)	i) Same as for Assistant Professor of Assistant Professor of Anaesthesiology at Sl. No.1 above ii) A postgraduate qualification, i.e. M.D. in Radio-Diagnosis or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto. iii) Three years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD in Radio Diagnosis or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
16.	Asstt. Prof. of Radiotherapy (Med. Physics)Dr. BRAIRCH	i) A Post-graduate qualification i.e. M.Sc. in Medical Physics or M.Sc. in Physics with Postgraduate Diploma in Radiological Physics from a recognized Institution or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto. ii) Ph.D degree from a recognized university. iii) Three years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the discipline/subject of specialty concerned after obtaining the Ph.D Degree
17.	Asstt. Prof. of Surgery(JPNATC)	i) Same as for Assistant Professor of Anaesthesiology at Sl. No. 01 above. ii) A postgraduate qualification, i.e. M.S. in Surgery or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto. iii) Three years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.S. in Surgery or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
18.	Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery	i) Same as for Assistant Professor of Anaesthesiology at Sl. No. 01 above. ii) M.Ch. in Plastic Surgery (2 years or 3 years or 5 years or 6 years recognized course after MBBS) or recognized qualification equivalent thereto. iii) One year teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty

		after obtaining the Degree of M.Ch. in Plastic Surgery (2 years or 5 years recognized course after MBBS) or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto. However, no experience is necessary for the candidates possessing three years or six years recognized Degree of M.Ch. in Plastic Surgery.

No. 01 above. ii) M.D. in Dermatology & Venereology or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto. iii) Three years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD in Dermatology & Venereology or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
20.	Assistant Professor of Endocrionology & Metabolism	i) Same as for Assistant Professor of Anaesthesiology at Sl. No. 01 above. ii) D.M. in Endocrinology & Metabolism (2 years or 3 years or 5 years or 6 years recognized course ) or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto. iii) One year teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the Degree of D.M. in Endocrinology & Metabolism(2 years or 5 years recognized course) or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto. However, no experience is necessary for the candidates possessing 03 years or 06 years recognized Degree of D.M. in Endocrinology & Metabolism.
21.	Assistant Professor of Urology	i) Same as for Assistant Professor of Anaesthesiology at Sl. No. 01 above. ii) M.Ch. in Urology (2 years or 3 years or 5 years or 6 years recognized course after MBBS) or recognized qualification equivalent thereto. iii) One year teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the Degree of M.Ch. in Urology (2 years or 5 years recognized course after MBBS) or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
