National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) Guwahati is an Autonomous Scientific Society of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India.

NIELIT Guwahati is carrying out human resource development and related activities in the area of Information Electronics and Communication Technology (IECT) through education and training.

NIELIT Guwahati is looking for eligible and qualified manpower for the purely contractual positions at Silchar Extension Centre of NIELIT Guwahati, Old Guest House No 1, NIT Silchar, Silchar-788010, Cachar, Assam, India as per the details given below.

1. Name of position	Faculty
Number of position	1 (One)
Monthly Remuneration	Rs. 24,000/-(consolidated)
Qualifications & Experience	B. Tech / B.E. in Biomedical Engineering or Biomedical Instrumentation or M.Sc in Biomedical Science or Or B.E / B. Tech / M. Sc in Electronics. or equivalent with specialization in Biomedical Instrumentation. or M.Tech in Biomedical Engineering may also apply.
Age Limit	Upto 35 (Thirty Five) years. Relaxable as per GoI rules.
Type of engagement	Purely on temporary and contractual basis.
Period of engagement	Manpower to be engaged for a specific period of 6 (six) months or coterminous of the Project. However, period of engagement may increase / decrease depending upon requirement and at the sole discretion of Competent Authority
Nature of Duties / Work	Academic / Lab activities.
2. Name of position	Service Engineer
Number of position	2 (Two)
Monthly Remuneration	Rs. 19,000/-(consolidated)
Qualifications & Experience	B.E/B.Tech/Diploma (3 years) in Electronics Engineering or Instrumentation.

Age Limit	Upto 35 (thirty five) years. Relaxable as per GoI rules.
Type of engagement	Purely on temporary and contractual basis.
Period of engagement	Manpower to be engaged for a specific period of 6 (six) months or coterminous of the Project. However, period of engagement may increase / decrease depending upon requirement and at the sole discretion of Competent Authority
Nature of Duties / Work	Repair & Maintenance of Medical Electronics Equipments.

1. The application fees shall be NIL.

3. Selection of manpower will be based on performance of candidate in written test followed by Interview / personal interview only based on the number applications received. The candidate to be engaged shall not claim for regularization against this employment notice.
   
   
4. All original testimonials towards fulfillment of eligibility conditions shall be required to be produced by the candidates on the date of interview for necessary verification.
